Villa Phoenix

Villa Phoenix is still as mellow and beautiful as it was last night, though without the snacks. Venture out for dinner, or stay home and cook in your kitchenette.

Rooms

This large apartment complex holds many a 2-3 person, one bedroom studio. Each studio is 280 square feet, a neat bathroom, a small living room with a couch and a nice sitting area outside. There's also a small kitchenette, to make up for the lack of a restaurant next door.

The bedroom holds two single beds or a double depending on what's funniest.

Grounds

There isn't a great deal to do per se, on-site. But the area is beautiful, all hills and olive trees, and the space around the hotel itself might make for a relaxing walk.

Or you could gather up in the common area, sit down on the pillows on the floor, grab a seat at a table. Read something from the hotel's small collection of books or watch television - it's up to you.

Common Area

Earlier that morning, Sidon may have had to push himself a little to be social, but by the time evening was settling in, he found it wasn't that difficult at all. It had been a good day exploring and fishing and swimming, and he found himself actually reluctant to go back to his room, because being by himself was the last thing he wanted to do right now. Perhaps he'd go seek a few people out and see how they were doing in a little bit, but, for now, he felt perhaps the common area might not be a bad place to relax a little, taking advantage of those cushions and shifting through some brochures with idle curiosity.

Vette hadn't strayed far from the villa at all today, just contenting herself to enjoy the quiet and the sun of the grounds this morning. When evening rolled around and it started to get a little more chilly out, though, she retreated back inside, intending to go to her room.

She paused at the common area and did a little about-face when she saw who was there.

"Hey, Sidon," she said, offering him a little grin as she flopped down on a nearby pillow. "Enjoying the trip so far?"

Now, then, here was a much better distraction than a handful of brochures detailing mostly things he'd already seen! And it also saved him a bit of trouble in the long run, as she'd certainly been on his list of people to try to track down if the common area turned out to be not so common after all, assuming his mood wouldn't have taken a sharp turn by then which did seem an unfortunate possibility.

"Ah, Vette!" His smile brightened as she came in to sit down, his spirits not quite had the time yet to falter too much. "Hello! And, yes, as a matter of fact," and quite surprisingly, to himself, anyway, "I am! I've had a wonderful day getting out there to get to know the local waters and fishermen. Should nothing else hook my attention tomorrow morning, I quite believe I shall help them out again tomorrow. They seemed rather impressed with my ability, if I may say so myself, though I imagine they were...quite uncertain about the whole thing at first. How about yourself? Have you had the opportunity to engage in anything particularly fun or exciting?"

Vette smiled wistfully at his enthusiastic description of his day, thankful that he'd found something to keep him occupied and get his mind off of what Nina had told her about earlier.

"It sounds like you make friends everywhere you go, huh?" She laughed softly. "I mostly just stayed on the lawn today and enjoyed the weather."

...

That was it, yes.

"The clouds were pretty? I'm going to see if Nina found anything good to eat at the market when I get back to my room."

She maybe hadn't eaten yet, either. What with the food all being in town and her all... not. That much didn't seem to bother her, at least.

"I do try ," said Sidon, and, just like that, he felt all the brightness in his smile dim, fading away though he hoped it didn't show. "The friendships we make are important, bonds that hold tight when you need their strength the most..."

Words almost perfectly echoing ones Mipha had spoken to him but a mere two days ago...which made him want to move very quickly on and ignore the ache spreading across his chest again.

He tried the smile again, feeling it was much better this time. "I have plenty more fish in my room, if you'd like, as well. The fishermen were quite generous."

They also might have thought it wise to keep the giant red sharkman with the sharp teeth well satiated...

"Though I'm sure whatever Nina may have gathered would be perfectly palatable as well. But that reminds me. Might I ask you a question, Vette?"

Lana had enjoyed walking around the town during the day, but now she was content to come back inside and settle.

She nodded to Sidon. "Hello. How are you enjoying this place?"

Sidon met Lana's nod with one of his own and a faint smile. "Good evening, Lana," he said. "I'm enjoying it immensely, I must say, thank you for asking. How about yourself? Have you had the opportunity to engage yourself in some of the charming pastimes this quaint island has to offer?"

"I've mostly walked around a bit, tried to find out what the local city and food are like. You?" She sat down not far away.

"About the same," Sidon chuckled a little, "only switch the walking with swimming, of course! I made fast friends with some local fishermen and spend the better portion of the day helping them out and enjoying the hard-earned spoils of our dedicated labors! There was a bit of a language barrier, of course, but the language of the sea seems to be beyond universal. I've still got quite a few fish in my room, as well, if you're interested or feeling a bit hungry. There's more than enough to be shared."

A narrow street cuts between the restaurants on one side and the marina on the other. The restaurant-side is littered with small tavernas, all offering traditional Greek food in different styles. Are you in the mood for moussaka or mixed grill? Pick a restaurant, have some food.

Or steal into one of the small supermarkets if you'd rather stock up to eat in your apartment.

Mythos Cafe Bar Restaurant

Sabine didn't want to stay at the apartments all night two days in a row, so she went out to find somewhere that looked interesting. This place had food and she lucked into to getting a spot overlooking the water, where she could sit and do some sketching.

Though some of these were for homecoming. Look, she had plans and she had to be ready to work next week.

Rock Cafe

Tuesday nights were for drinking. Being in a completely different part of the world wasn't going to change that. This place seemed okay, and, really, as long as they had whiskey, that's all she'd really need, though she supposed it wouldn't hurt to see what might be more local to try. And, if everything went well, she might not even have to deviate too far from the other things that had been pretty consistent about her Tuesdays lately, with...obvious alterations.

Although....

....nope. That was a terrible idea. She had her phone, she could probably just...send off a message, but that was, again, a terrible idea, and she still hadn't had enough to drink to even remotely start to convince herself otherwise. She's just have to see how the night went, and, if she was drunk and bored enough by the end of it so she started thinking it was a good idea, then....maybe.

What time even was it back on Fandom? Why was she even wondering? Ugh.

The tour guides have packed up from the turtle and dolphin watching tours, but you can still flag some down to borrow a small boat to row around the cove if you are feeling athletic and/or romantic.

Keri Beach

The seats and parasols have been packed up, but the sunset tonight is stunning. The beach still looks a little rough, at first: there are rocks all along the waterline. But cross the one foot's worth of pebbles and stones and you'll suddenly find nothing but sand and shallow water for a long stretch. In fact, you'd have to walk almost a hundred feet to find water that came any higher than your hips.

During the day it had been too crowded for him to really take Dark Nation out and about for a good run, but there were fewer people now that many things were closed.

"Go on," he said, as he let Dark Nation off his leash. "Have fun."

Dark Nation was off like a shot, barking for the sheer joy of it.

Rufus followed, his hands shoved into the pockets of his shorts.
