The sun was setting, but the weather was still pleasant. Head in to the village for dinner and drinks, or perhaps take a walk along the beach at night... the choice is yours.

"Hey, something to look forward to," Vette laughed. "Great! Now my vacation can start looking like a vacation."

Well, she wasn't attending classes or being shot at, so it already sort of was.

"Even if it means putting you to work," she teased.

"Well, yes," Sidon agreed easily with a laugh, a hand pressed over his poor, obviously overworked heart, "a truly terrible burden, showing a wonderful person a spectacular time..."

Plus, he's spent most of his first full vacation day literally working. For fish.

He'd be okay.

Vette was absolutely not blushing. Honest. Really.

It was hard to tell, okay?

"I'll try to keep it fun for you, too," she promised. "You can show me all your favorite places so far. How does that sound?"

Sidon was fairly certain it would take nothing short of a complete natural disaster (or perhaps some sort of Calamity) to cause this to be even remotely not-fun, but he smiled appreciatively and nodded.

"I believe that sounds," He couldn't hold back the faint happy sigh even if he'd tried, "perfect."

It was some small sort of miracle that Vette didn't squeak outright at that happy sigh.

Darn it, Sidon. How were you so charming? How?

"It sounds perfect," Vette agreed, smiling brightly. "Okay, wow." ... Oh. She just said that out loud. Okay. Wow. "So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow!"
