Bali Hai, Friday evening

There was an impromptu festival going on over on Bali Hai. The beach was decked out with streamers and unlit torches, and the mood was definitely on the gleeful side of happy.

The Fandomites will be made welcome, directed down towards the water for those who want to feed the dolphins, or watch while others do. Those who are more interested in libations than aquatic mammals will find drinks and snacks aplenty up at the swing bar.

Later, once the sun sets, there will be a performance of the island's best fire dancers, before everyone wanders back to Fandom.

Well, it had been all over radio, so it's not like she was telling a secret...

"In Aly-sensei's class," Dōjima said gleefully. "In a pub. Naked."

Ino put the phone down very carefully, then cracked up and nearly howled with laughter. "No wonder he didn't tell me that!"

"At least it wasn't in my room!" she protested mock-innocently. "What would people have thought, a naked boy running out of my room?!?"

"That you'd had a fight and told him to get out?" Ino tried, still giggling.

"Do you have any pictures, at least, of his facial expression once he realized where he was?"

"Kinda? I was in disguise for class, so I was trying to snap the pictures under the table," Dōjima admitted. "It could pass as post-modern art, maybe? It's not a full picture of his face, but you get the sense of alarm."

She snickered. "Was there much laughing at him?" She so would've laughed her head off if she'd been in that class.

"The entire bar with allllll the imaginary people," Dōjima stated happily. "I don't know how many of our classmates saw it, but it was all over radio."

"I ended up taking pity and slipped him my shawl. I must say, he's very fetching in a sarong."

Ino was going to have mental images of this for a long time.

"Well," she noted, "it probably helps that he's rather fetching no matter what." A beat. "Though not when he's a rodent, because that's just wrong."

"I will not argue with that assessment," Dōjima said, leaning back on her swing slightly and fanning herself. "Shirtless, using my shawl as a skirt. It was a thing of beauty."

"I should ask Aly-sensei if that room has security cameras. I'd kill for a recording of that."

"You could charge for showings," she suggested. "I'm sure that here? At Fandom? That'd get a good turnout."

"Think they'd let me rent the movie theatre?" Dōjima asked. "If I'm going to pack the house, I ought to make sure there's lots of seats available."

"I'm sure that something could be worked out with the staff," she said, mulling it over. "Perhaps you could let them see if for free?"

"Oh, everyone can see it for free. It would be a crime to keep anyone out of the pretty just because they lacked funds," she replied. "I was thinking a basket for suggested donations on the way out."

"Huh." Ino considered that. "Offer the staff the first showing? So they won't grumble 'bout having to deal with all of us when we come to see?"

"An eighteen-and-up night, and a younger night," Dōjima mused. "Of course, we'd have to sell booze at the event. It just gets better the tipsier you are."

That was getting a pout. "You know, some of us, despite our age, don't like being shut out of things because of our age."

Because Ino was only fourteen. Fifteen if she counted the seven months spent in Paris-in-the-past.

"I don't wanna have an 'adult' night, that's just pervy!" Dōjima protested. "If I say one night is teachers only, it sounds like I'm pimping out my boyfriend to our professors."

"What about a 'students' night and then 'general' public showing?"

"You said 'eighteen-and-up night'," Ino pointed out, amused. "What was I supposed to think?"

A beat.

"I like the students, then general public one though. It's less disturbing."

Dōjima flailed slightly, almost falling off her swing. "I just meant to imply there was a night for the older crowd, and one for people who don't want to be asleep by ten at night!"

"Yeah, students and general public it is, assuming I can get the theater, or the video."

She was giggling by now. Because that was totally not how it had come out sounding to her.

"You've definitely got to keep me posted," she nodded her head. "Wouldn't want to miss something like that."
