Bali Hai, Friday evening

There was an impromptu festival going on over on Bali Hai. The beach was decked out with streamers and unlit torches, and the mood was definitely on the gleeful side of happy.

The Fandomites will be made welcome, directed down towards the water for those who want to feed the dolphins, or watch while others do. Those who are more interested in libations than aquatic mammals will find drinks and snacks aplenty up at the swing bar.

Later, once the sun sets, there will be a performance of the island's best fire dancers, before everyone wanders back to Fandom.

[ooc: Up early for SP!
Plz to be waiting for the OCD, thanks.
3...2...1...and we have OCD. ETA: Assume handwavy IC knowledge it's happening, and it's open to all!]

Gwen had a drink, and a swing! A fun swing!

Okay, make that a few drinks.

It probably said something odd about Jo that the only other thing that had knocked her out of her funk quicker than explosives was the dolphins.

Lois sat herself in a swing and ordered herself a beer. What a great way to spend a Friday.

Okay now this? She liked. Mac could get used to this.

She found herself a free swing, and ordered up something colourful, liquid and fruity to sip at.

Cal had to admit a little bit of relief to find out that the name seemed to be mostly literal, but, having a seat and ordering a glass of water (what? It was warm, and he was thirsty), he couldn't help ruminating on how the Sixty-Niners would have benefited from a gimmick like this. The Sixty-Niners did like their gimmicks...

Meg had to admit, seeing Jo with the dolphins was pretty adorable. Which would be why she had her camera out and pointed a Jo. Such adorableness should be caught on film.

Luckily for Meg and her attempts at preserving such moments for posterity, Jo was completely unaware of her complete and utter lack of bad-assery being captured.

Which meant she was acting like even more of a squeeful dork.

Meg was unable to keep her laughter in as she snapped the picture of Jo. "Aww!"

Feeding dolphins? How cool was that? Turtle was definitely going to have to do this.

She may have been trying to get them to do tricks of a sort before feeding them, though. She wanted to know if dolphin training could ever be a potential venue worth investing in.

Jo noticed that.

Cue flailing. And falling into the water as a result of said flailing.

There would be no dolphin feeding for Adah; she had issues with throwing fish in a manner that put her hands too close to too eagerly waiting mouths. She was, however, quite satisfied to find a spot nearby, to watch with an intrigue, tilted head, fascination at the bizarre image that left her wondering which grouped seemed more like the trained monkeys: the dolphins and their eager gathering, or the people and their simple amusements.

"Jo!" Meg squeaked. She definitely hadn't meant for that to happen. "Are you okay?"
wannabehunter: (uh oh)

"Fine," Jo called out as she regained her footing. "Just...damper."

"Oh, good. Now I can laugh without feeling bad," she said. And then she did laugh. A lot.

Bars and swings reminded Dōjima of Mexico, and she was perfectly happy to spend her Friday drinking something fruity as she flirted with the bartenders.

Jo eyed Meg darkly, wondering if she be able to splash her from here.

It was his second time with a shoreline (the broomflight with Ino didn't count since they'd actually been out in the ocean dunking themselves) and while he was a little nervous about interacting with sea animals, feeding animals of all manners was something he was familiar with.

And they seemed nothing but friendly. Which was nice.

She probably could, yeah.

"I'm sorry, really Jo, I am," Somehow the giggling made it less sincere. "It's just you looked so cute!"
wannabehunter: (evil little grin)

"I'll just bet I was," Jo said, taking a few steps closer, just in case, before attempting to heave an armful of water at her.

Memory danced in the back of his brain as he watched. There wasn't anything in particular, no one memory that reacted to the dancing flames and the bodies and the shadows in the night.

But he watched. It was worth watching.

"Hey!" Meg said, holding her camera up to avoid getting it wet. "No fair!"
