Indiana Dunes State Park- Friday evening
By the time the group rolled in to the Indiana Dunes it was probably too late to do any real hiking, but you had plenty of time to get set up for the night. Which meant putting up tents, building fires and cooking. You know, the fun stuff before the temperature dipped into the high 40's overnight.
You could also explore the campgrounds! There were electrical hookups... but the ones at this site were on the fritz, so hopefully people brought portable chargers if they really needed their phones. Or you could ask someone at a neighboring site to ask theirs and make new friends. There was also a pump for fresh water and bathrooms that were nearbyish, if you didn't mind a little bit of walking.
So maybe tonight was a little bit of work. It'd just mean you really earned whatever dinner and junk food you brought.

Re: Tents
She was finding she much preferred the coasts thus far, yes -- mostly because she was blaming the Midwest as a whole for this tent situation.
RE: Re: Tents
There was something wrong with any vacation that deliberately went somewhere that electricity wasn't.
Re: Tents
Nothing here, of course, but if something interesting happened elsewhere in the world, she did want to know immediately, damn it.

Well, as soon as he was awake with enough light. He wasn't going to wake up at dawn or something ridiculous like that.
