"Sure, I can try a little," she said with a shrug. "I'm not much of a drinker but I'm an awesome gauge of other people's drunkenness."

"You can make sure I don't do anything ridiculous," Riley said, gesturing for the waiter to come back over so he could make a wine order. "Or you could take pictures of it and send them to my best friend and be his hero."

"A true friend," Riley said, nodding at her and pointing at some random wine on the menu. Hopefully it'd be good. "I appreciate the lack of pictures. With my luck, they'd end up on Facebook so they could be liked by the most random of people."

"That's why you have to play with your privacy settings," Kitty advised. "Though I appreciate when people don't do that because I'm usually the one liking the pictures."

The waiter brought Riley's wine selection over and settled two glasses down on the table. Riley took a look at the label, squinted and then came to a stunning conclusion.

"I cannot read Italian." Yep. "So, hopefully I didn't just order Draino."

"I deserved that," Riley admitted after a pause. He cleared his throat and got the wine uncorked. He poured some of the wine in his glass and sniffed it. "Doesn't smell like Draino."

And then he took the plunge and downed it all in one go. It didn't taste great but he was pretty sure it wasn't going to lead to impending death.

"Wow," he croaked, making a face. "Strong. But not bad."

"Oh." Well, he'd messed that up. He poured a little more and then poured her some wine as well. "Well, at least I've got a taste for it now? Maybe my stomach and liver can adjust a little quicker."

"Maybe. Just don't chug your wine anymore and you should be fine," Kitty said, taking her glass and sipping from it as an example.

"Well, I had to make sure it wasn't Draino," he said like that explained it. "And I wanted to kick my liver in the ribs."

He sipped it and yeah, that felt a little better.

"What do you think?"

"It's good," she decided. "I mean, I'm definitely no expert but it doesn't taste like lighter fluid so I'm good with it."

"Yeah, me too." He took a few more sips and nodded. "I don't know if it's something I could drink all the time though. Coffee's more my game. And sometimes chocolate milk."

"What? It's good!" He thought so, at least. "It gets unfairly stereotyped as a kid's drink but I'm getting my calcium fill for the day. It's good for the body and the bones."

"Do you like chocolate milk?" Riley asked, taking another sip of the wine.

"See, I would almost prefer that right now and you should get reacquainted," Riley decided, finishing his wine and making another face. "Because it's much better than whatever this is."

"Yeah, but this just leaves more for them," Riley pointed out, trying to get the waiter's attention again. "I'm really not appreciating it so why waste it?"

"Well, if you ordered the bottle, they're probably going to make you pay for it," Kitty said.

"I know," he sighed, looking at the bottle. "Maybe I'll take it back to my room and give it to my roommate. He's kind of...stiff."
