Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Monday - Evening

While the sun might have been setting, the activity in the city was not dying down. Far from it, actually. There was more and more noise as the work day ended and the celebration began. If you were into that sort of thing, that is.

The hotel was still open for those less interested in the nightlife of Rio de Janeiro.

That got a wince. "You survived, at least. One up one me in that situation."

Considering he was pretty sure those could cut through the suit like it was made of butter.

"A few," Ben said. "There's this creature named Abeloth that has proven to be fairly unkillable so far. She promised the head Sith that she'd explain what was happening to him--he fell into something called the Pool of Knowledge and was turning into something super creepy before Ender killed him with a runaway speeder--and being an opportunistic Sith, he and Vestara decided the wisest course of action was to kill Dad and I and take their chances with the unkillable...thing."

"Pretty much," Ben said, finishing his drink and signaling for another one. "But they outnumbered us about a hundred to one, which shouldn't even happen. Stupid Sith. There's only supposed to be two of them."

Ben shook his head. "They're an entirely different culture," he said. "The Sith didn't use the rule of two a really long time ago. I think these Sith got lost or stuck somewhere during that time and just...never heard about the new rule. They're still trying to take over the galaxy, though. That part of the Sith never changes."

Tony fiddled with the straw of his drink, frowning at that. The Jedi showing up hadn't been in Ender's telling, but he hadn't been the normal... Well, Ender. Too mad at Ben's dad maybe.

"And the--" He gestured toward Ben's face as if to indicate the marks that had been more clearly there before.

Tony swallowed, looking down at the cut of beef on his plate; nicely red and wet with juices that spread out on the plate in a lurid red splash against the white of the china. He had somehow lost his appetite for it along the course of the conversation. "I'm building you an armor," he decided instead.
