While the sun might have been setting, the activity in the city was not dying down. Far from it, actually. There was more and more noise as the work day ended and the celebration began. If you were into that sort of thing, that is.

The hotel was still open for those less interested in the nightlife of Rio de Janeiro.

Tony fiddled with the straw of his drink, frowning at that. The Jedi showing up hadn't been in Ender's telling, but he hadn't been the normal... Well, Ender. Too mad at Ben's dad maybe.

"And the--" He gestured toward Ben's face as if to indicate the marks that had been more clearly there before.

"Force net," Ben said, keeping his voice emotionless. "High Lord Taalon wrapped me in one and squeezed. It was mostly to mess with Dad, but I wasn't really thrilled with the outcome either."

Tony swallowed, looking down at the cut of beef on his plate; nicely red and wet with juices that spread out on the plate in a lurid red splash against the white of the china. He had somehow lost his appetite for it along the course of the conversation. "I'm building you an armor," he decided instead.

Ben smiled at him. "That's not necessary," he said. "I'd look like a Mandalorian."

"I have no idea what that is," Tony replied, but he smiled as he did. "Not the full thing, just something a little more substantial."

So he wouldn't worry so much, was graciously left unsaid.
