Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Monday - Day

The weather and hotel remained just as amazing as they had been the day before. And, as people woke up in their hotel rooms, they could see the beach look as pristine and empty as it would get during Carnival time here in Rio.

If the beach wasn't for them, there are plenty of other activities available for people.

Room 336 (Annie and Petra's)

[identity profile] zetabetabrat.livejournal.com 2012-02-20 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Rebecca woke up with her hand splayed over her face, took in the familiar non-Annie skin tone, and muttered, "Oh, thank god."

Then she realized that that meant that she'd gotten all those waxes while in Annie's body for nothing and had to go to the spa again now. Damn it. Annie had better appreciate it.

And why did her foot hurt?

Room 307 (Topher and Billy's)

[personal profile] dollpocalypse 2012-02-20 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Topher had woken up in pajamas (which he hadn't even known that he even owned), in a room with no Billy (woe) and no Karla (THANK GOD), as well as a single bag of Doritos on the nightstand with his name on it. Concluding, as one did, that Warren had decided to be amazing and spare him further torture, he'd then proceeded to return to 307 and take the world's longest shower.

So sorry, Billy, but there was no hot water left by the time he emerged, flopped on his bed, and put on SyFy. But at least he no longer smelled like Doritos and there was no chance of Karla germs lingering anywhere on him?

Room 322

Annie woke up early, felt her face just like she did the previous morning, and unlike the previous morning, it felt right. So she sat up, realized this room wasn't hers, was so grateful it was Quinn potentially in the room with her, and don't mind the quiet "eeeeeee" at having her own body back, thank you very much.

Room 336

And after waking up in her own body, Annie returned to her room, where she made a point to lock herself in the bathroom for a little bit of a personal inspection. Since she'd maybe been kind of horrible and had purposely kicked a lot of things yesterday so Rebecca may or may not wake up to a sore foot this morning, she could just imagine what Rebecca might have done to her body. So there was just time spent checking for bruises or soreness or signs of STD...

When she emerged from the bathroom, it was with wide eyes. No. No, that sort of waxing way, way, way worse than stubbing her toe a bunch.

Scully woke up this morning and immediately knew she was herself again. No voices, happy or sad or complaining. No male body.

"Oh thank God."

She went back to sleep for an hour, then got up, and wandered down the hall to knock on the room she'd had last night.

Percy had said he was okay with he and Luke rooming together, but Luke was gonna give him some space anyway. That meant avoiding the beach (for now) and slipping out of the room fairly early.

The buffet seemed like the obvious place to go since it was morning and he was starving.

Ender grabbed a respectable plate full of food for his breakfast, sliding easily into a seat. He wasn't sure what he was planning to do today - besides drag Ben to go see Karla - but he suspected involved rather a lot of catching up on his work.

So there would be a laptop sitting by his side during breakfast. Call it a family malfunction.

Several tables away from Ender, Peter had collected more than his fair share of food for breakfast.

Sadly, he couldn't bring his desk here - stupid 21st century people would probably have a meltdown just at the sight of a hologram - so he was making do with a laptop.

Which, yes, was sitting right next to him on the table.

It really was a family malfunction.

Jack had happily taken a place at the buffet line and was now eating a relaxed meal on the terrace.

As he sipped on his coffee, he let out a sigh of contentment.

With all the nuttiness of last week, this is just what he needed.

There was no laptop next to him. Jack had plenty of family malfunctions but that was not one of them.

After finishing radio Cara came down to the restaurant and filled her plate at random, more than a little of the food was spiced differently to what she was used to, but ultimately, food was food.

Lion-o loaded up with plate with as much food as he could fit on it, then chose a table overlooking the pool. He was debating going for a swim later, as long as he didn't go back for a second helping.

It was vacation, so Bruce of course started the early morning in the fitness room on a treadmill. It was basically tradition at this point.

Rebecca spent the morning getting the works of spa treatments. Because she needed waxes anyway and on top of that, the stress associated with bodyswapping tended to make a girl need a massage.

Plus she was still limping from last week a little. Don't you judge.

Zoe wasn't usually one for spas, but these trips had her indulging more often than most. Grace had begged to have polish put on her nails, but she'd asked for a strange green color, so Zoe was letting her indulge as well.

Dany had gone to the trouble of finding herself something to swim in (http://image.venusswimwear.com/is/image/Venus/V1502-PLM_V2552-PLM_A1197-PLM_M341-GL.15?$ProductPage380x532$) that wouldn't look too out of place, here, and rather than brave the beach, she found her way down to the pool for the afternoon.

Her initial trepidation at swimming in the funny-smelling water passed, and it hadn't taken long at all before she was doing clumsy laps and enjoying the coolness of the water.

Now, though, she was stretched out in a chair, eyes closed as she dried in the sun. It had been too long since her skin had been kissed by warmth this way. And eventually, she was going to notice the unfortunate side effects of having white-blonde hair and swimming in chlorine; her hair was already starting to pick up a little bit of green.

But for now: basking.
