Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Monday - Day

The weather and hotel remained just as amazing as they had been the day before. And, as people woke up in their hotel rooms, they could see the beach look as pristine and empty as it would get during Carnival time here in Rio.

If the beach wasn't for them, there are plenty of other activities available for people.

"I was in one of the bars last night. It's not bad." You know, if he just ignored the fact that he didn't get any of the film references the bar was trying to pull off. "Impressed the locals with the fact that I speak Portuguese."

That was kind of impressive, actually. Because Cassie Clare SAID SO.

"Oh, you do?" Rebecca said mildly. Relying on her extremely limited knowledge of the language to make it through probably about one or two exchanges of this, she switched to Portuguese and asked, "Where'd you learn it?"

"My father," Jace replied back in Portuguese. Then he switched over to French. "He thought it'd be good for me to learn a lot of languages."

Jace, of course, couldn't let anybody beat him in the language game. Which is why he responded in Romanian. "I already knew you had a talented mouth, but I'm impressed nevertheless."

Figures he'd give the dirty compliment in a language he doubted she could understand.
