Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sunday Afternoon and Evening

The Copacabana Hotel was certainly... statuesque. The front facade stood high and formal in the middle of lovely Rio, though, like a mullet, all the fun was in the back - at the beachside, where fun and sun would be waiting come tomorrow.

The Fandom contingent had managed to get their hands on some beachside rooms, though it was probably best not to ask who or what had made this much money change hands. Because it wasn't like anyone running this gig had any interesting off-shore accounts...

"Last year was Hawaii," Bruce noted. "I think they've actually outdone themselves this time. That was nice, but Carnival? No real comparison."

"I hear you even get to dance in the parades," Annie told him. Which she wanted to do, even if she wasn't sure she'd have the guts to actually do it.

"So I imagine you have that lined up for tomorrow? Or, you know, whenever you're you again," Bruce said.

"I think so," she nodded. "I did some research and tried to decide what all I wanted to do, so it's just a matter of sticking to a loose schedule and seeing if anything else comes up. Do you think you'll be making it down there?"

"You plan like me. I'm impressed," Bruce said. "I'm planning on making it to one or two parades. I don't know about dancing in them, but I'll at least be a spectator."

"You really plan like that?" Most people looked at Annie weird when they found out just how much she planned everything out. Knowing someone else did it was kind of neat.

"I'm guessing I leave the schedule a little more open than you, but the second I found out where we were going, I did my research," Bruce said.

Part of it involved detailed crime statistics. It was thorough.

"I'd rather not miss out on something I'd really like to do, after all."

"Since it took me eighteen years to get here once, I'm going to say it might be a while," Bruce said. He was probably going to be rather preoccupied soon, of course. WITH CRIMINALS.
