Scotland, June 2004

Saturday was hazy and humid and warm, but still better than Virginia.

[ooc: Please await crazynuts OCD. OCD is up and not nuts because Firefox is being tempermental! Have fun!]

"You know, I've saved the world once or twice myself," Buffy sighed, putting a hand on her hip. "It means I don't start hitting you. Suck it up."

"Not even if I ask politely?" Spike asked, once again violating the innuendo rule before holding up his hand to stop any impending beatings.

"Look, it wasn't as simple as me just waking up from the dead and having a shower," Spike said with a gruff tone. "You of all people know what that's like."

She wasn't so much with the wanting to remember that. "That part I get. But you had time to go hang with Angel and check up on me without saying anything? Bad way to make a dramatic entrance."

"I wasn't exactly hanging with him," Spike replied. "One moment I was exploding and the next I was just a ghost at that bloody law firm he was in. Even when I wanted to leave and track you guys down I either couldn't because I was magically linked to Captain forehead or some bad mojo came up and I needed to stick around."

He gave her a little smirk.

"Come on, slayer. You know how crazy things can get."

"Yeah, I do," she said. "Remind me to teach you about a little thing called E-mail we use now to keep both updated and in the know. It prevents problems like this in the future. And no smirking. You're not off double secret probation yet."

He kind of was, but last night kind of sucked and it was good to mess with someone involvedin it.

"E-mail is Red's thing," Spike grumbled. "Besides, I was sort of hoping you might have an opening for a souled vampire."
buffywaschosen: (did i just hear that?)

She raised her eyebrows and repeated, "An opening?"

Because with Spike, you could never be sure.

"Not like that," Spike amended quickly. "I'm just looking for a job."

Which Spike then realized could also be taken the wrong way.

"As in working under you."

*cough*

"For you."
