Anakin couldn't stop a smile from crossing his face as the Temple transport flew closer to their final destination.

When the planet finally came into view, he called the flight students to look out the window.



"Welcome to Coruscant," he said, pointing. "We'll be landing in a few minutes. Strap yourselves in, please."

"Not that I know about," Anakin said, "but that might just mean Obi-Wan hasn't mentioned it."

"Not as much as Murray," Sam grumbled, "though no exact figure was ever named."

"I kind of hope that never happens to me," Anakin said. "I mean, a bounty on a Jedi? The galaxy would have to spin pretty far off its axis. Even the Seperatists aren't that brazen." He paused. "Yet, at least."

"I hope it doesn't happen to you too," Sam said. "I wouldn't want you to be hunted across galaxies."

"Separatists?"

"If you go near the Senate, you'll hear about the Separatists," Anakin said. "They're a group of planets and systems that are fed up with the way the Republic is working right now. Some of them are so upset that they are actually withdrawing from the Republic." He sounded stung. "It's much of the reason why I'm coming home after the summer. We need every Jedi we have to try to stop the Republic from unraveling."

"Oh, is that what that was about? I did get to the Senate, but most of the argument was about whether or not a standing army was necessary." Sam studied him. "Have you read anything about the American Civil War, Anakin? Sometimes unraveling is what has to happen so you can rebuild something stronger."
