Welcome to Coruscant! [Friday morning into Saturday afternoon]

Anakin couldn't stop a smile from crossing his face as the Temple transport flew closer to their final destination.

When the planet finally came into view, he called the flight students to look out the window.

Coruscant from space

"Welcome to Coruscant," he said, pointing. "We'll be landing in a few minutes. Strap yourselves in, please."

Anakin fussed with his hair--to the obvious amusement of the Jedi piloting the transport--as the Temple came into view.

Two figures, one tall and dark, the other short and green, emerged from the shadows as the transport landed.

Anakin swallowed hard and walked down the ramp to greet them. "Master Windu. Master Yoda," he said, bowing. "A pleasure to see you again."

Anakin led the workshop students from the transport to the starfighter hanger bay.

Two dozen Jedi starfighters gleamed under the lights.

Anakin practically bounced up and down in excitement before bowing to the Jedi Master waiting for them. "Here we are," he said, grinning. "Enough ships for everyone."

Picking a ship out, putting on your spiffy Jedi hairband communicator, taking off....

Zero-gravity canyon run exercise in manuverability. The weapons are turned off for this. An average pilot can get through it in ten minutes.

A Jedi can do it in seven.

Anakin set the course record at five and a half.

Now the ten targets are lit up along the route. Your weapons are live. Nothing's shooting back at you.

Light 'em up.

An average pilot can go through in twelve minutes.

A Jedi can do it in nine.

Anakin's done it in seven minutes flat.

After the flight work was completed, Anakin gave a quick tour of the Temple (http://community.livejournal.com/fh_trips/11470.html) and a even quicker briefing about Coruscant (http://community.livejournal.com/fh_trips/11522.html), then cut the flight workshop students loose to explore on their own.

But he stuck around to answer any questions before he went off to take care of his own errands.

Anakin stood rocking on his toes in front of the transport that would take them home, checking his chrono every ten seconds.

He wanted to head back to Fandom as soon as physically possible.

...my OCD is barely begun, my friends...

Mace returned the bow. "Skywalker," he replied. He glanced over Anakin's shoulder. "Introduce us to your students?"

If his mouth quirked up a little at the idea of Anakin Skywalker teaching anything, it was gone so fast as to be practically imperceptible.

Anakin nodded. "This is Aeryn Sun, Sam Carter, Cameron Mitchell, Belthazor, Blair Sandburg, Rory Gilmore, Peter Pevensie, Cedric Diggory and Draco Malfoy," he said, pointing them out as he introduced them. "And this is Jedi Master Mace Windu, and Master Yoda," he concluded.

"To the Jedi Temple, welcome you are," Yoda said. "Answer we will, any questions you might have." He gave Anakin a small smile. "But young Skywalker, briefed you he has already, I think, hmmmm?"

If Aeryn doesn't actually speak, it's because she's trying not to say "Yes, sir." It's a habit she's really trying to break. She nods instead.

And while Yoda's not exactly what she expected, at the same time, he's similiar to a Hynerian. Having something a little familiar is nice. Hopefully he's not actually like a Hynerian, though.

Bel was used to all sort of demonic appearances, so Yoda didn't surprise him at all -- except for being called "master" when he was so...small. But he kept that to himself for now.

Peter bowed formally to both the Masters. Coming from a land of talking beavers and centaurs, he could hardly be surprised at little green men. Still he felt this an embassy of sorts regardless of the fact that it was Anakin's home.

Rory inclined her head very slightly, smiling shyly. She recognized them both, of course - Yoda from the projection in Special Collections and Master Windu in that...interesting thing with the hats that Anakin had shown her.

Which was part of why her head was bowed.

Blair bounced excitedly and nodded. "Thanks, man! Anakin did tell us a lot about this place. It's very impressive, Master Yoda. Are you a gremlin?"

Anakin choked.

"Those creature you sent to Master Kenobi that accidentally got out in a Council meeting, Skywalker?" Mace asked. "And wreaked havoc?"

Anakin tried very hard not to "eep."

He succeeded, too.

He was quite proud of himself.

Mace turned his attention back to Blair. "No, Master Yoda is not a gremlin."

Yoda just looked amused by the entire thing.

Mace picked up on her amusement and quirked an eyebrow at her.

Yoda smiled and bowed back.

Yoda gave Bel a small smile.

Yoda gave Aeryn a polite smile and a bow. "Most welcome, you are," he said.

ZOMG! MACE WINDUHOOOHOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
