Washington DC [Sunday Morning]

After arriving in front of the Air & Space Museum, Veronica passed out maps and told her students, "You can go anywhere and take pictures, but I recommend the places circled on these maps. You're also free to check out any of the museums on the Mall."

[please wait for OCD up! All Photography and Flight & Flying students can play in either post. Field trip is Sunday in game, but posts are open for slow play.]

Nadia gets a picture of some of the gifts left along the Vietnam Memorial. One shot in particular, of a teddy bear in fatigues with a rose laid in front of it, she hopes comes out well.

Nadia finds herself in the Playbill Cafe off of Dupont Circle around lunch time. They're serving a Sunday brunch, so she gets a very large omlette and two croissants.

Mmm, brunch.

Re: Other Places in DC: National Zoo

Nadia heads into the zoo after she finally gets the hang of the metro system and is thus no longer walking all over town.

There are notices up about how they're going to tear down the elephant house and rebuild it, so Nadia takes a lot of pictures of that. It's a very cute building by human standards, but she can see where elephants might not like it much.

Remembering Walter's reaction to this one the last time they were in DC, Nadia spends a few quiet moments just observing the memorial.

And takes a few pictures, as well, of course.

This one took Peter by surprise as he walked down the Mall. He took a few moments to collect himself before moving into it and looking at the pillars and monuments. He wasn't crying at all. Really.

Blair had leftover signs from his gremlin protest and just might possibly be standing across from the White House with them. In a very low key manner, of course.

Nadia nods silently to Peter before quietly moving away.

She wonders if Walter knows about there being another student who was possibly from WWII.

Peter recognising the girl as another Fandom student nodded back and though he ought to apologise for his lack of composure.

"Err, sorry."

Nadia shook her head. "No need. It was a hard time. I get that."

"I'm British," Peter said with a quirk of the lips. "Supposed to have a stiff upper lip and all."

"So I've heard. I'm Argentine. We're taught to be a little bit more passionate."
