Washington DC [Sunday Morning]

After arriving in front of the Air & Space Museum, Veronica passed out maps and told her students, "You can go anywhere and take pictures, but I recommend the places circled on these maps. You're also free to check out any of the museums on the Mall."

"I can imagine that even when you're really good at it, you still can get caught," he paused. "But you managed to get yourself out of trouble?"

"No, I haven't. I've had to rely on luck and other people. And I don't want to have to do that anymore."

"I can see that. There's no shame in needing back up, though," he said as the person who would have gone after Darla on his own if it wasn't for Angel.

"There's a difference between needing backup and needing rescued," Veronica pointed out.

"True," he acknowledged. "But asking for backup can prevent needing to be rescued."

That gave Veronica a moment of pause.

"I guess you're right," she said finally. "I'm just used to working alone."

"I get that," he said with a smile. "But if you ever think you need some backup to prevent the whole rescue thing? There's no harm in asking." Yeah, he was subtle.

Laughing, he shook on it. "I feel like I'm in one of those support programs now."

"What would we call ourselves?" Veronica asked, also laughing. "People Too Stubborn to Ask for Help Anonymous?"

"PTSAHA?" Cameron grinned. "That's a bit too long. Maybe shorten it to PTSA? Sounds smoother"

"It certainly does," Veronica agreed. "Only problem I can see is that people too stubborn to ask for help aren't likely to join a support group."

"I'd say we make them, but the first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem and asking for help," he said. "I think anyway. I've never had to join a support group before."

There was a quick flash of sadness in Veronica's eyes, but she pushed it aside and grinned. "I haven't either. But I'm pretty sure you're right about the admitting you have a problem thing."

"One good thing about being stubborn is that you never give up hope," Veronica said.

"Word," Cameron said as he was using cool words today. "Although now I'm wondering if being stubborn about wanting to get cured is the wrong way to go."

"Well, we don't really want to be cured, per se," Veronica said. "Just don't want to be stupid about it. There's a difference. I think."
