Disneyland Paris, Wednesday

The island had been sitting out in Disney Lake for several days now. She had finally begun to calm, shaking off the last of the unsettling imprints that her previous destination had left on her. Music kept drifting from across the water, and occasionally tourists would stop to snap a picture of the pretty castle.

They never did look too closely, though.

It wasn't a long walk from Fandom to the actual park at all.

In fact, the stretch of the causeway encouraged anyone who walked on it to try it.

"...it's like your entire life is the plot of a fantasy porno, you realize that?" Kenzi shook her head. She slung an arm around Bo. "On the other hand, then there's the horror elements to break it up."

"Hey, there wasn't even any porno with the pirate. That was what she wore in public!" Bo pulled a face. "And I'd be happy if the movie of my life stayed far, far away from anything directed by Tobe Hooper or Ridley Scott, thank you."

"We could be directed by Ang Lee, except no not really," Kenzi mused. "Ooo, if we were directed by that Spy Series guy? There would be hotties like Captain Hotpants. I could get behind that. Or in front of it. Even if you prefer Lt. No-Pants, apparently."

"Pants are fine, as a general rule." Bo eyed the 'pirate' tour guide, who looked like he'd never been seen outside a pair of Dockers when he wasn't on duty. "Not everybody can pull off the pants-free-daywear look."

Kenzi saluted their Preppy Pirate, and grinned. "Sadly true. AVAST, MATEYS!"

"AHOY!"

"Yeah, whichever." Kenzi hopped into one of the little boats, wobbling. "Whoooa."

Bo looked at her suspiciously. "Did you hit Caritas before lunch?"

"Oh, maaan, I so should have. They're not going to serve me here, are they?" Wait. "Wait! It's Euro! I'm legal drinking age here!"

...or she would be, in a year.

Bo admittedly wasn't sure what the public drinking age was in France, but she had her doubts, mostly because Kenzi's lips were moving. She went with, "They're not gonna serve you anything but coconut milk on the Buccaneers of the Sea Not Entirely Unlike the Caribbean ride."

"Why is the rum gone?" Kenzi asked, very sad. Fake sad. She grinned. "We'll just have to find some cove and a bar where they serve drinks with little parasols in them! Do you get drunk?"

"Not if I can help it." Bo shook her head. "I can, if that's what you're asking, but powers I already can't control plus lack of inhibition? Not a good combination."

"Oooo. Point." It blew! Superpowers should not come with a downside! "I keep wanting to introduce you to my hot teachers, but most of them are human, so: Sadface." There it was. "But!" She sat down hard. "At least Eric and whatshisname are still around. What *is* his name, again?"

Considering radio reports about alien STDs -- and Bo would just be over here facepalming and squirrelproofing not only her own home but also that of everyone else she had ever met -- it wasn't exactly outing anybody to say, "Whatsisname's name is John Mitchell; he runs the movie theatre, and the fact that he's... somebody who could survive spending the night with me... is not for public consumption."

"Gotcha." Kenzi made shooty-fingers at Bo, adding it to the list of stuff she didn't talk about to other people. "Good to know who to hide behind next time, though."

He was so getting checked out and stared at the next time Kenzi had a minute.
