After a night in jail due to a barfight, only to be followed by radio, of all things, Kūkaku decided she'd had enough of Hawaii, thank you very much, and was going to just come back to her room, crash face-first on her bed, and then just stay there for a while.

And anyone who tried to say otherwise was going to regret it.

Today? Today Bobby had declared himself done with the heat for a while and was just going to stay in his room. His nice, air-conditioned room.

Unless, of course, someone dragged him out.

Kate was not feeling the beach today, so she'd headed out to go shopping instead. She had her iPod on – currently, the song was something like oh no, oh no, you've got it all wrong; you think you're chocolate when you're chewing gum, in case anyone around could read her lips for the words she was idly mouthing along – and was standing outside Caché, looking at the dresses in the window and wondering whether there was anything inside she could afford.

She was betting on no, so she wasn't sure she should even go in.

Hale Kai Restaurant

Lindsay was seated at a table at Hale Kai Restaurant, sipping iced tea while waiting for her order. She was considering her plans for the rest of the day as there were so many options. For now, she was content to hang out here for a little while.

Breakfast (http://www.fairmont.com/orchid/GuestServices/Restaurants/TheOrchidCourt.htm) seemed like the way to start the day so that's what Nathan was doing. He was sitting outside under a big umbrella with his feet propped up and a plate of pancakes in front of him.

He figured he could get out and do things later. Right now, he was just gonna keep relaxing and keeping taking advantage of the warm weather. Laziness was something he excelled at.

Just because Kūkaku-chan had turned down his after-radio breakfast offer yet again, Shunsui was not going to skip it! Especially with such delectable delicacies to enjoy! After all, perhaps some other beautiful woman would come along and join him, taking advantage of what Kūkaku-chan was clearly missing out on.

With all her preparation for adventures and excursions, Jane realized that she had little in the way of swimwear, besides of course her undergarments, which usually worked because she was miles away from civilisation in the jungles. Clearly, that would not do on these beaches! And so she took some of her pocket money and went exploring some of the shops to see what she might find.

She was feeling quite skeptical, though, about the suits she'd been shown by the shopkeepers. "Well, of course I've seen all the girls on the beach with similar garments," she argued, "and it was quite shocking at first, I'll have you know. But they're all so young, I'm sure they can quite get away with a bit more freedom, but don't you have anything just a bit more modest?"

This was going to be interesting, and Jane was likely to walk out with something that she'd never in a million years wear around in public, but it would prove functional if she wanted to do that snorkling.

There was no yoga for Jaina today. In fact, there would be no yoga for Jaina ever again. Instead she headed to the fitness center early to hit the machines. All except for the treadmill, since running on the beach was a lot harder, but a better workout.

...Her idea of a good vacation might be different than most people's.

Mmmm, this really was a great way to start the day! Ariel was glad she chatted with Scully last night so that she'd be here to enjoy the benefits of the spa and the beautiful view and it was going to be really sad when this trip was over...

Caroline didn't think there was many better activities to participate in than an unpronounceable spa treatment. All she knew was there were amazing herbs (not vervain, thanks) and a man with seriously powerful hands involved. She could die happy and if she didn't Caroline might make another appointment for later in the week.

Scully was starting with the lomilomi massage and herbal compress, and it was almost sinful how relaxing this was. But it was her birthday, damnit. She could relax if she wanted to.

Even if her previous experience was that aliens would attack when she did.

Seaside Yoga

It seemed to be helping. Maybe she'd look into more yoga while she was here.

Jason had woken up earlier than usual and when he couldn't fall back asleep, he'd decided to go for a long run along the beach. Now, he was laying down on a towel with his shirt under his head like a pillow, resting and soaking in the sun. It beat going back to his room, at least for a little while.

By Wednesday, Ender had a legitimately decent tan, and his quiet introspective calm of the past few days had given way for something that felt a lot like keyed up aggression. He didn't like it; wasn't really used to it, at least not in an environment where releasing that aggression wasn't encouraged.

So swimming turned out to be key, and he took to the water shortly after morning exercise, trying to exhaust himself. Are you proud of me? No. You're scum. (But you made peace; but you're being constructive and helping people.) But you're only doing that because it's convenient for you to be, to take control. (But you are building something, while the people that I trained are tearing it apart. That's something to be proud of. If you were anyone else, I'd say that was something to be proud of.)

Ad nauseum. On and on and on until he was far out from the coast and swam his way back, and there again.

Leia was stretched out under the sun today. In a gold fabric bikini, of course.

Perhaps somehow she had subconscious knowledge of Hoth in her future and needed to absorb as much warmth as possible to prepare herself.

Leo was back at the beach and was spending his time making a half-assed sandcastle. Well, half-assed for him was actually pretty decent by mortal standards. Benefit of being exceptionally good with your hands.

Ariel had considered going snorkeling that afternoon, but, really, that just seemed silly to her if she really thought about it, so it was back to the beach. She still had too much energy to just lay around, so she was trying her hand at some sandcastles.

What she was coming up with was looking an awful lot like Atlantica (http://images1.fanpop.com/images/quiz/30915_1215729594993_450_300.jpg), which wasn't easy, and which begged the question: did that middle spire there totally look like....nah, it couldn't be--wait...

After breakfast, Quinn changed into her bikini, grabbed her book, and found the perfect spot to set up a beach chair. Watching the waves roll in and working on her tan felt about perfect for today.

Yesterday had been a better day so Bod was encouraged enough to head out for an activity that actually caught his attention. He'd geared up, snorkel and goggles and was now swimming lazily around the bay, checking out all the gorgeous sea life below it.

This was something he could definitely get used to and this was something that took his mind off all his other issues. He didn't feel so weighed down and tired here.
