Kohala Coast, Hawaii | Morning & Afternoon | Tuesday | February 22nd

Everyone should feel sorry for the poor bastards left behind in Fandom where snow collected atop the ice that coated the ground overnight. But in Hawaii, everything was sunny, warm, and beautiful. It was paradise, and everyone there should take advantage!

"No fair! If you twist my ankle, I am totally going to cry at you forever, Jaime Reyes!" Which would be a sight, since she was laughing so hard she could barely get the threat out.

"Well," Jaime declared a bit breathlessly, "if you'll just stay down you'll be fine!" And, ha! Now he was on his feet again.

"Because that is totally going to happen!" If he was up, he wasn't holding onto her ankle, now was he? Which meant she could clamber to her feet.

And start running again.

"No. That'd be too smart of you." Jaime laughed, once again using his longer legs to gain a bit of distance. Except that they were about to hit the water...

And okay, this was totally cheating, but they hadn't played around like this in a long time! So she put on a bit of speed and made a leap onto his back, arms glomping around his neck as she let her full weight hit him from behind...

Jaime stumbled forward as she hit him, but managed, somehow, to stay on his feet, even if it was a bit awkward. He stumbled slightly as he hit the water, but still stayed up.

"I'm totally winning now. You're behind!" And as he said it, Jaime's arms came back to grab Momoko's legs, helping hold her in place.

"Eeeeek! You were supposed to fall!" Momoko giggled and kicked her legs while tugging with her arms to topple him.

Which meant that Jaime had to stop running and plant his feet wide to keep his balance. "Well, too bad!" he laughed.

Well then she was going to try to tug him backwards. "No fair! Faaaalllll!"

"You're the one who climbed up there," Jaime pointed out. "So you have only yourself to blame!"

She had no response to that, since he was technically right and she was totally not going to admit it. So instead, she pulled one of her arms from around his neck and reached to tickle him.

"Cheating!" Jaime accused, doing an awkward dance as he tried not to laugh.

"Self-defense!" Momoko laughed and kept tickling; he had to fall or let her go, one of the two!

He was losing it, a snicker quickly blooming into an outright laugh. If she didn't stop, he was totally going to lose his balance.

Which was the point, duh!

She did have to stop for a moment to shift her grip, though, but then it was back for more.

Which was enough. Jaime collapsed into the water. At least he had the presence of mind to fall forward?

Face first into the water.

Whoops? She probably should have thought that plan out a bit more.

Momoko gave a small cheer and, after checking to make sure he was okay, tried to move off him and into the wat...

Did he still have hold of her?!

Ha! Like he was going to let go just because his face was under water.

Jaime pulled his head up and looked over his shoulder. "I'm still ahead," he announced after spitting the water out of his mouth.

Ultimate card!

Momoko opened her eyes wide at him. "Ah! Jaime! Thank goodness! I was so afraid you were really hurt when you fell like that!" Then she leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

Jaime almost pointed out that the big, wide innocent eyes worked a lot better when she wasn't A) wearing a bikini, B) dripping wet, and C) pressed up against him like that...

Except that then she kissed him and his mind blanked.

Bzuh?

Success! Momoko slipped away and into the water, turning backwards to look at him. "Sorry, but now I'm ahead!"

Totally cheating, using the big eyes on him, but yay!

"That-- that's totally cheating!" Jaime spluttered as he charged after her.

"I don't know whaaaat you mean!" She grinned at him as she attempted to maintain her distance.

Jaime shifted into a crawl, swimming forward hard. He could at least catch up with her, right?

"Eeeek! No revenge! No revenge!" She laughed and turned to try to swim away.
