"I think I've just resigned myself to being sweet," he said, laughing and just letting his cheeks and the tips of his ears redden with a blush. "I'm sorry for however Kate treats you, I am, and I don't plan on stopping giving you deserved compliments either."

It was just nice to be shown affection by someone he had an easy, uncomplicated relationship with. It made him feel happier than usual.

"And despite the fact that surfing might not have been a great success, you tried and I'm almost positive you looked the best out of all those that were trying.
