As the group from Fandom arrived, they would immediately be met by the bright, warm sunshine of the Big Island. Sparkling blue waters could be seen off in the distance surrounded by the white sands of the beautiful beaches of Hawaii.

The Fairmont Orchid loomed close by, big and bright against the perfect blue sky. The accommodations for the group were spectacular as always. Palms trees decorated the front of the gorgeous hotel, giving it that authentic Hawaiian feel. Maybe there was a lei or two in the future of some of those in the Fandom group? You never know!

The staff of the hotel was there to greet the group, making sure everyone felt welcomed and attended to during their stay. Once the rooms were discovered and the bags were stowed, it was time to start Spring Break!

Jaina got to the room and picked her bed in the most scientific way possible: she threw her bag and whichever bed it landed closest to was hers. When that arduous process was over, she headed to the lanai to get a picture with her phone, just for proof that she was here.

A tropical paradise such as this was something Shunsui could get used to! Still, even with the luxury and decadence surrounding him, he gave it maybe five hours before his room looked just like home sweet home in the Bachelor Pad. Unless, of course, the roommate he'd been assigned might have something to say about that.

Ah, but would it be bliss if he wound up with no roommate at all? Or, even better! Perhaps his roommate would be a beautiful woman, and he would be far too busy to think of anything else. They would create an exotic little Hawaiian love nest, with a sea of sake and seduction surrounding like a warm ocean breeze.

Of course, he didn't know yet who his roommate was, but he'd take the chance and start this out right. By throwing open the door for a dramatic, fluttering entrance and cheerfully calling out, "My precious gosling ♥! Are you prepared for paradise to begin ♥?"

Oh, dear lord. That was pretty much the most brilliant worst room assignment ever.

Wesley was quietly unpacking and letting his utter scorn for Nathan speak for itself. Oh, and being the birthday boy. That too.

Probably unlike most other students on this trip, Jeremy looked a little disappointed upon entering the twins' room at the hotel.

"Aw, why do we have a room that's the size of a postage stamp?" he whined asked. "Don't we get enough of this freaking minimalist living back in the dorms?"

Sorry but he was a little spoiled, and not afraid to let it show when it was just him and Juliet.

Bruce wasn't planning on sticking around the room long. Too much to scope out, and there would be plenty of time to finish up work on his rebreather later. But he needed to drop his stuff off, claim a bed (the one nearer the window, of course), and maybe catch up briefly with Bod.

Lucas was taking a few minutes to make up a list of things to do while he was here. Surfing was number one, of course. Avoiding tiki idols and other potentially cursed objects was there, too. He was also planning on getting in at least one fight on the beach. He'd start it by kicking over a sand castle, he was evil, he didn't care. But how often did you get to brawl in an island paradise, really? It had to be done.

Stephanie couldn't decide which half of the room to claim; maybe she'd leave it up to a coin flip? It was just that wow, both those beds looked amazingly comfy, and maybe she'd just go out and sleep on the lanai because she could, and . . .

She'd fill up an entire memory card with pictures of the room just to send home to her mom, before so much as setting foot on the beach. Whee!

When Quinn read over the room assignments, she noticed she was next door to Puck almost before she noticed she was with Rilla's boyfriend-escort-whatever-they-called-it-back-then-thing.

Neither of those things was bad, and neither was the view. She spent a few moments staring out the window at the ocean before settling in to unpack.

Yeah, Kennedy wasn't wasting any time getting changed into beach appropriate wear-- which was to say about two seconds after she finished tipping the staff for taking care of the luggage and they left.

The room wasn't bad. The private lanai was awesome. Score.

Tahiri would never quite get over accommodations as nice as the ones they seemed to have on all these Fandom trips. The very first thing she did, after kicking off her boots and tossing her bag beside the bed, was step out onto the lanai and just breathe in the island air.

The diversity of climates and geography on this one single planet never would stop amazing her.

There wasn't any real reason to run to your room unless you were Percy and you trying to claim a bed before your face stealing roommate got there. It was just too bad he couldn't lock Jason out or something but he could take up as much space as possible while he was in the room.

As soon as Alex got to the room, she dropped her bags at the foot of one of the beds (she wasn't sure which one to take yet) and made her way out onto the lanai. The view was amazing!

She was content to stand out there for a bit, just taking in the view and the ocean air. She'd start unpacking in a minute or two.

Summer found her room with ease, deciding to forgo choosing her bed for the moment and instead, changing into a tank top and shorts with a bathing suit underneath.

She was tempted to check out the tour selections before hitting the beach, but right now? Summer was going to step out onto the lanai and take some pictures.

As soon as Lindsay was in her room, she immediately dropped her bag on the floor and checked out the amazing view. She wasn't usually the type who got overly excited, but this was a pretty good reason. She was actually in Hawaii.

Still, she wasn't going to dwell on that. They were in Hawaii! One of the first things she did after tossing her bag on the bed was go to the balcony.

Harper found her room and immediately got to work unpacking her suitcase. She wanted to get her clothes on hangers right away so she didn't have to worry about wrinkles later. But a wrinkled dress was not going to keep her from enjoying herself. Nothing could dampen her enthusiasm for this trip.

Well, almost nothing. Let's see how excited she was after finding out that her roommate was boy.

He already lived in a hotel. A tropical beach, on the other hand, would be a new and blessedly warm experience.

Helen was glad to be somewhere warm for once. She set her things down and decided she'd take the time to unpack before she went down to the beach. That way she'd feel no guilt about being lazy or unproductove.

Ariel didn't plan on spending much time in her hotel room; not with all of Hawaii outside waiting to be explored! But she did need to at least drop off her bags, and meet whoever her roommate for the week would be. She hoped it was someone fun...or at least someone she could easily drag out if she got bored.

The twins had managed to sit this vacation out; Kūkaku wished she could be so lucky. Still, she figured it couldn't be too difficult to find a spot on a beach to claim as her own and just ignore that the rest of the world around her. And at least she didn't have to teach this week; that was a bonus, too, she supposed. Plus, she might not completely hate her roommate...

...unlikely, but it was possible. She was about to find out as she came into the room, threw her bag on the bed, and sized the place up.

Jane could hardly believe it...or contain her excitement! Hawaii! Such an expedition was the last thing she expected when she decided to flounce off and pursue teaching. And while she knew she should be there in a chaperoning capacity, it should be just fine should she take a day or two to herself for a bit of field research! Of course, she knew one should never venture into unknown territory alone, so she figured she'd have to round up a few other teachers to join her, or maybe some intrepid students. It would be such a great learning experience and--

"Oof!" Jane realized she should pay less attention to what she was going to do and more to what she was doing, as the door whacked her gentle in her attempt to open it and get both herself and her rather large trunk inside. Still, she wasn't going to let that stop her as she continued pulling her stuff in to get herself nice and settled in.
