3/5 - Leicester Square

Various members of the school trip are on a pub crawl... or rather, a hunt for the Watcher's Council, 14 Leicester Square.

They've gotten a tip from a crystal ball, and are looking for a sign.

And possibly? Tweed.

Andrew looked shocked. "I thought you were here to save Spike!"

"Spike?" Parker blinked, and decided not to get into what he'd been like when she'd met him. "This is for Angel. And I want deader-than-undead for Dru and Darla, when I catch up with their skanky homicidal asses."

"Oh, Angel!" Andrew said in disappointment. "That's good. So you guys are from a slightly earlier timeline, huh?" He looked over at Xander.

"I guess?" Xander nodded. "I mean, you seem to know me, but I can't remember ever meeting you."

"I summoned the flying monkeys that attacked the school play," Andrew said proudly, then quickly added, "But that was when I was evil. I'm over that phase now."

"Good goin'," Parker said, giving him a thumb's up and a huge smile. "I'm glad the Watcher's Council is recruiting from all available resources. Especially the formerly evil like that. It's in the best tradition of space opera. Or maybe I mean soap opera?"

Andrew tried to look down his nose at her, but since she was slightly taller than him, it didn't quite work. "Redemption is a difficult road to travel. I cannot expect you to understand the path I've taken, but as one of Angel's trusted compatriots, I would expect you to at least respect it."

Parker's amusement didn't diminish, but she did dial the sarcasm down a couple notches. "Wings is an idiot with a messiah complex. But I'll grant you the difficulty, and applaud the effort. It's just-- flying monkeys? Did you have a Wizard of Oz fixation? Why?"

"You can summon them with simple household ingredients and they're easily trained and controlled," Andrew answered. "My brother was into hellhounds, but they're nasty beasts and like to tear people to bits. Monkeys are lots more fun."

"I... don't remember monkeys." Xander frowned. "I don't even remember the school play at all, which is a talent I really wish I hadn't grown out of."

"Oh," Andrew said. "Well, uh, we got to know each other better later on."

"Oh." Parker's eyes widened. "How well is that, exactly?"

Because Harris, you can do so much better.

Xander looked at Parker. Looked at.... guy who he could not remember attacking the school play with flying monkeys. Looked at Parker. "Excuse me?"

"No, not really," she assured him. "For one thing, I know how you feel about Canadians."

"I'm not actually Canadian," Andrew said, looking at Xander hopefully.

"I like Canadians," Xander said reflexively. Then sighed, and gave Parker a hard look. "How that relates to flying monkeys I don't remember, I have no idea."

"Well, I'm one-quarter Canadian on my mother's side," Andrew added.

"That's... nice for you?" Xander looked a little lost. And possibly like a flat fish of some sort whose name begins with an F. "And... your mother, I guess?"

"She was born in the U.S.," Andrew clarified. "But I'm occasionally mistaken for Canadian. Though a couple of times in Italy people thought I was Irish. One time in China, a guy thought I was Armenian. But, uh, one of us may have been confused. My Mandarin isn't very good yet."

"..."

"...Armenian?"

"Well, we were discussing the Grit'glak demons who are native to Armenia and I was trying to tell him that I'd visited there, but I may have actually said I lived there." Andrew frowned, remembering. "Ooh, I may have mixed up my pronouns when talking about the mating rituals. That'd explain why he -" He looked at Xander and coughed. "It would explain a misunderstanding. So. First time in England, eh?"

Xander just... kind of stared. And considered paying someone to summon flying monkeys to CARRY THIS PERSON AWAY.

Walter was not peeking around one of the library shelves and trying not to snicker. Certainly not.

She hadn't thought Xander leaned that way, though. Very amusing.

Pippi peeked out at Xander and Andrew over the huge blue book she and Victor were consulting.

They're so cute when they're flustered.

*giggle*

Parker clutched Xander's arm, fascinated with Andrew's ability to talk and talk and manage to seem geekier than the Sir Elton impersonator from the night before. When Andrew asked if it was Xander's first time in England, swallowed a giggle in favor of deadpan. If she didn't do something, Xander was going to be having drinks with this guy out of complete neural shock.

"Xander, sweetie, I know it's impressive, but you shouldn't gape like that," she chided him, giving his arm as squeeze to warn him. Then she grinned wickedly. "Wait. I'll take care of it."

Then she leaned in and laid a Parker special on him, buried both hands in his hair, and did the tigress-claiming-territory maneuver that would be really, really difficult to misinterpret.

Plus, it was fun.
