Friday dawned looking picture perfect. The sun rose high into the sky, providing warmth and light across the island. Fluffy clouds dotted the sky, giving it a postcard like look. And all across the resort, things were opening up, coming to life, preparing to entertain. The vacation was nearly over for the denizens of Fandom but there was still time to have some fun. "There are twenty scoops," Ben said. "I think I can go a little slowly."

And then he reached out to swipe whipped cream onto her nose.

Tahiri went briefly cross-eyed, blinked, and sighed, then made a futile attempt to lick the whipped cream away.

"I should have known you'd do that." It was practically tradition, after all. As was her attempting to retaliate by dabbing whipped cream on his chin.

"You look good in whipped cream," said the boy who'd never considered how that might be thought of in a dirty way.

Now was an awful time for the dirty way to occur to Tahiri, wasn't it? But it did, and she turned bright red, although with a bit less flailing than she might've included a few weeks ago.

"That," she said, trying not to sound too choked, "goes for you too, Skywalker."

So to cover that up, she tried to dab a little more whipped cream between his eyes.

"You okay?" Ben asked a little cluelessly, crossing his eyes to try to see the whipped cream.

It was a very sexy expression. Really.

If it had actually been a sexy expression, Tahiri probably wouldn't have known what to do with it. But it was cute, and she did like that.

"Fine," she said, sending a little mental pulse of affection through the Force. "But I don't think now's the right time for . . ."

Oh, she couldn't even get through that sentence.

Ben blinked. Twice.

And then the little hamster wheel in his brain started turning.

"Oh!" he said, turning a lovely shade of crimson. "Um."

"Yeah." They could just give a clinic in eloquent speech right now, with Ben turning bright red and Tahiri sort of sliding down in her seat. "So, um. Ice cream."

Which was starting to melt and get kind of gloppy. "Ice cream!" he repeated. "I think we'll finish this. I have faith."
