Atlantis Resort - Thursday [Adventures]

Even after five days there was surely something new and different for the guests of Atlantis to experience! With eleven pools and a half dozen lagoons, the water alone offered a new adventure at every turn!

Robin would have stolen it by now, anyway. "Are you wearing enough sunscreen?"

"In comparison to what?" Fraser asked, looking over his shoulder at her.

"I don't know. I just don't want you to get sunburned," she said, reaching to stroke his shoulder lightly.

"I'm wearing plenty of sunscreen, I promise," he said, looking down at his own shoulder. "Are you protected?"

Robin giggled, because she was twelve, and said, "Yes, I'm fine. Hopefully I'll tan and stop being all pasty and disgusting."

"It's been winter, it's understandable," he said, nodding towards the slide. "Did you want to go down this with me?"

"Uh huh. But only if you don't scream like a girl," she added.

"...I don't scream like a girl," he protested. "That would be impossible since I'm very much not a girl."

"I'm just saying," she said, smiling at him. "Don't start now."

"Take a seat," Fraser said, motioning to the innertube, "and hope I don't push you down there to slide alone."

Robin leaned to give him a kiss, hoping that would appease him, before taking a seat in the front of the tube. "I would cry."

"You would not," he said, sitting behind her and shaking his head. "You would scream like a girl and want to go again."

"I'll still probably do that," she promised him, kicking her legs a bit.

"Are you ready?" Fraser asked, bracing them with a hand to the side of the slide.

"Yes!" Robin said excitedly, holding onto the little handles and all but bouncing.

With a quick shove, Fraser pushed them off the top of the slide and sent them careening down that first, steep drop. He did not scream like a girl but he had a white knuckle grip on the handles.

It's okay, Robin shrieked joyfully for both of them. Even if she sounded like a girl, it was more fun to scream as they slid down the slide.

"Is that a scream of joy or fright?!" Fraser yelled at her while they plummeted down the slide.

"Joy!" she yelled back, clinging tight to the slide.

"Good!" Fraser shut up right about them, spluttering some when a splash of water caught him in the face. He didn't want to tip them so he held on tight and tried to center himself firmly.

Robin leaned back against him as an entire tiny wave hit her in the face and she sputtered, trying to keep the water out of her mouth.

It'd be difficult to do that considering they hit the darkness of one of the caves now. It wasn't pitch black but dark enough that he could just make out the outline of Robin in front of him.

Hopefully nothing jumped out at them.

Nothing had, but it was going really, really fast. "I can't see anything!" Robin yelled. Like maybe he'd be surprised by this information.

"That's because it's dark!" Fraser yelled back, trying not to snicker.

"Shut up!" she yelled back, laughing as water hit her in the face again.
