Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

"Good," Dinah said in satisfaction, and leaned back on her elbows. "Have you been to see the dolphins or the water slides yet? Or just the beach?" She grinned at her. "And aren't you glad certain people went to England?"

"The water slides look dangerous!" said the girl who regularly carried a sword. "The beach is nice and relaxing and while I hope that they are all enjoying themselves, yes, I am quite happy that Arthur is in England. He would be throwing a fit if he were here."

Dinah admired Morgana's suit, and grinned. "We could take pictures. To freak him out afterward... except you probably don't want that lecture any more than I would." She snickered, then sighed, digging her toes in the sand. "Still. I hope they're having fun." She cocked her head, considering something for the first time. "Do you miss it? Albion?"

Morgana got a bit thoughtful herself for a moment. "Is it terrible if I say I'm not sure that I do?" she asked. "I miss Gwen, and I miss Gaius - they were my friends and confidantes, and I know Gwen would just love Fandom. But I have Arthur, and I have Merlin, and I have new friends and it's safe and good in Fandom and...I'm just not homesick, not much at all."

"All the really important stuff," Dinah said, then blinked. "Fandom's safe? Well, I guess it kind of is... we only get invaded every few months or so..."

"I swear, sometimes it feels like we have trouble every week," Morgana said heeee. "And the acceptance in Fandom, of people who do magic and simply in general, is amazing."

"It's... pretty bad there, isn't it." Dinah still had that memory, of Morgana defending a little boy. "I mean, I knew that from what Arthur and Merlin had said. But it's pretty personal for them, with Arthur being a prince, and Merlin being a magician. I wasn't sure if that was something everyone had to be aware of."

"Everyone who resides in Camelot must deal with the troubles we see," Morgana explained. "And Arthur's problems are often mine as well, partly as the king's ward and partly because we are so close."

"Is ward like being adopted? Or is it more complicated?" She paused. "And how long have you lived with his family?"

"Yes, Uther adopted me, so to speak. My father was his friend and adviser," she said, proud and wistful all at once. "He died when I was ten, and Uther promised to take me in and look after me as though I were his own child. I've been his ward ever since."

"That was good of him." Which, why was that a surprise? He was Arthur's father. He had to have *some* good points. "I'm glad he did that. Looked out for you like that." She knew what it was like not to have anyone who really was. "You know, I don't know what you're life is like there... I mean, Arthur does the military thing, and Merlin protects him. But what do you do, most of the time?"
