Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

She chuckled. "I think you'd be fine either way. They've coves stationed along the beach who seem to be responsible that everyone's safe."

Jonas glanced in the direction of the aforementioned lifeguards before looking back at her. "How are you doing? Are enjoying the vacation?"

She nodded and moved further in the water until it reached her hips. "I am," she said. "Tis very different from all the other places we've been so far," she said. "I think I like New York the best, but they have much to see and do here. What about you?"

"I am, very much," he said, grinning again. "Tahiri and I swam with several fish yesterday over in the marine habitat. It was really amazing. I'd never been that up close to sea life before. Even if I looked foolish in the goggles."

"I think everyone looks looby with goggles," Beka reasoned, smiling at him. "The fish are pretty, though the sharks look scarier than I'd imagined."

"I bet you'd look nice with goggles," he said and smiled. "Or maybe you wouldn't. If you looked funny, I promise I wouldn't laugh too hard."

"No, you'd just look at me like that and make me nervous," she splashed some water in his direction.

"I didn't think you got nervous," he said, trying to block the water with a hand before splashing back.

"Only when I'm not wearing my Dog uniform," she told him. She'd be using two hands now to splash him back.

"The goggles could be an unofficial part," he said, sputtering some and turning his back to try and take the water there. "It could work!"

"It'd be protective," she had to agree. You'd never know what they'd throw at you and not getting it in your eyes was good. "But we'd be the laughing stock of the whole Cesspool."

"I wouldn't laugh," he promised, wading closer to her. "I think it'd made you look very safe."

Her eyes moved down his chest for a moment, appreciating his swim attire. "It'd not go well with the helmet."

"Maybe some of the sunglasses I've seen around?" he suggested, pointing to his eyes. "Would those be better?"

She chuckled. "They'd be better, but they'd still look strange somehow."

"You could just use your hand to cover your eyes when needed," he said and slapped one wet hand over his own eyes to demonstrate.

She chuckled and reached out to poke his chest. "It'd not be very safe."

"But effective," he said, uncovering his eyes and trying to use the same hand to cover hers.

She'd let him have her hand, it meant she could flatten her palm against his chest and his skin was warm. "It'd depend what you'd be trying to accomplish," she smiled at him.

"Maybe I was trying to surprise you," he said, laughter in his voice. "I've seen people cover their eyes when it's their birthday."

"Why'd you try to surprise me?" she asked. "It isn't my birthday."

"It's a vacation though?" Honestly, Jonas didn't really know. "Maybe I was trying to surprise you for...another reason."

"A vacation reason?" she asked and she decided she was allowed to step closer to him.

"Yes," he said, taking that opening. "I'm surprising you because it's warm and very nice and bright here. It's very unlike Fandom. So, it's a surprise. In a way."

"And you made it warm for me?" she teased, sliding her arm around his waist.
