Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

"Yeah but that's just Robin. He's pretty fun," she said, shrugging. "And Warren's here, too, but I think he's somewhere dying of heatstroke in that coat of his."

Not that she counted Warren as anywhere near as weird as Robin.

"He seemed to be in a pretty good mood this morning," Jack shrugged. "I drew him as a roommate. I hope he finds a way to take the coat off before we go."
vanillajello: (Smiling and about to talk.)

"That would be nice," Kate agreed. "We kinda had vague plans of going out for coffee together here, and it would be kinda awesome if he wasn't totally uncomfortable through the whole thing."

Jack smiled. "The next time I see him in the room I'll make him go find you," he promised. "You shouldn't spend the trip deprived of coffee."
vanillajello: (Talking.)

"Coffee I can get on my own," Kate noted with something approaching a lightly amused smile. "But I'd like Warren's company. So I guess that would be nice of you."

"I like being nice," Jack said lightly. "So I guess it wouldn't be too much of a burden."

She raised an eyebrow. It was barely visible because of the sunglasses. "So, right now, are you being nice by checking up on whether I'm still freaked out?"

Because she knew that was what he was doing.

Jack's face twitched as he tried to work out an answer. "A little." A lot. "But I also thought you could use a drink the color of a chemistry experiment gone wrong."

... that second sentence was true, too, but only because Jack thought everyone could use drinks the color of experiments gone wrong. It had been that kind of vacation for him.

"Well, I appreciate the drink."

That other thing, too, but good luck wrangling that out of her.

"It's very... alcoholic, and I needed it."

"It's what vacation is for," Jack said. "Come find me sometime if you want me to buy you another one."

Or if she wanted to talk about the other thing, but he didn't expect that. Drinks, though ... drinks he could do.

Yeah, it was unlikely she'd talk to him about the other thing.

... At least until she'd realize that if she wanted to really talk about it, it would have to be to him, because her (still surprisingly intact) loyalty to Mitchell would prevent her from telling anyone the whole story.

But for now it was just about the drinks. "I'll keep that in mind, thanks."
