Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

Dinah had a few bruises from her spar with Tahiri yesterday, but they'd been totally worth it. Still, time to rest up and let the sun fade a few. Also, fruity little pineapple drinks were awesome.

"Kiss kiss," Karla sighed, sinking down onto the sand next to Dinah. "How come I have to be Queen of a land of ice and snow when there are places like this?"

Mmmmm....warm sun.

Dinah laughed, and passed over her fruity drink. "So the people from deserts can be as cool as they like? Also, sledding. You can't say that's not fun." She grinned. "How was your time at the Olympics?"

"Oooh, fruity drink," Karla said, reaching for it with greedy hands. "Much better than whiskey shots," she said after taking a long sip. "Thanks, Dinah."

She settled back against her towel, resting on her shoulders. "The Olympics were fun. I think I understand curling now, and 'Dite dared me to join the hockey team back at school."

"When were you doing whiskey shots?" Dinah asked, enough of a girly drinker to make a face as she took her drink back. "Ahhh. Curling? That's the one with the big round stones, right?" She tilted her head, and stabbed at her drink with her straw. "And ooo, really? Hockey team? That should be kinda awesome, at least 'til it gets warm."

"Yesterday," Karla admitted with a rueful grin. "Mat and I got into a drinking contest..." she trailed off with a chuckle. "Really, it made sense when I was doing it. He sassed; it was necessary."

A waiter came by and Karla asked for something sweet and fruity. It was the best way to try new drinks! And the waiter didn't seem to have a problem with that order and scurried off.

"Curling has the stones, yes. It's all about getting the stone on the button with a hammer," she explained, nodding solemnly. "'Dite kept laughing as I explained," she added, sounding a bit dubious.

"I'm guessing you won. How hungover do you think he'll be?" Dinah asked with a grin.

And then Dinah promptly started giggling at that description.

"What?" Karla asked, too amused to be properly exasperated. "Why is that funny?"

In a moment, she'd also ask Dinah about why 'Dite kept snickering everytime she mentioned getting banged on the ice at hockey practice.

"Ahem." Dinah grinned at Karla, then teased, "Okay, so what would 'Dite and I both think was funny about stones? Hammers?" She grinned. "Hitting things?"

Blink. Blink. Karla was fairly certain the answer was 'sex' since 'Dite was involved, but she still wasn't getting what stones and hammers had to do with it. Or hitting.

"Sex?" she guessed.

Dinah pointed to her nose, then booped Karla on hers. "Soooo, assume innuendo for every noun and verb. Whatcha got?"

Dinah grinned, then took a breath, only blushing a little. "Okay. Stones? Ahem. Balls. Hammer? Uh. Sexing. Button... well.... female anatomy...."

"Wait, the button as the female--ohhhhhhhh," Comprehension dawned as Karla put all the pieces--so to speak--together.

"Well that explains the pervert male," she muttered, reaching gratefully for her drink as it arrived. She finished a third of it in one go, signaled for another, and turned to Dinah with a bright grin, "So what's new with you? There's got to be some good gossip for me to catch up on."

Dinah couldn't help grinning and digging her toes into the sand. "So, what pervert male was this?"

"There was this--" Karla cut herself off and turned to look at Dinah. Dinah, who was looking very much like the cat who caught the canary pardon the pun. "Oh no you don't. I know that grin. Spill!"

Dinah, don't make Karla pull out the phantom hands to tickle you. She totally will.

"It's not a big thing!" Dinah's canary grin might make that a lie. "Just, you know. Kissage. Three of them." She wiggled her toes some more, looking very, very pleased with herself. "And the guy who was kissed asking Tony about me."

"Yesterday," Dinah said, grinning. "Here at the beach. Well, out in the water. Um. We were just horsing around, and... impulses happen, okay?"

Because at that point she and Jaime were so busy wrestling, the only part of their bodies *not* touching had been their lips. "And it would've been nicer if he didn't try to breathe water two seconds later on the first one, and nearly choke," she added, chagrined.

Nooo, she hasn't mentioned his name yet. Heh.
