Atlantis Resort, Bahamas | Sunday | Afternoon/Evening [Adventures]

As the group from Fandom emerged from the portal, they would be greeted by paradise. The weather was warm, immediately making any jackets and sweaters useless. The sky was a light blue flecked with clouds and, before the group, stood the sprawling Atlantis Resort. There was relaxation to be had but, never let it be said that the Bahamas didn't have many an adventure waiting for you. There's a little bit of everything here, something to satisfy every desire and we invite you to experience them all!

What happens in the Bahamas, stays in the Bahamas!

"Jonas did not mind either," Beka said, which meant that everyone had agreed to. She did not look convinced however.

"Doesn't have t'be happenin' right away," George pointed out. Still a little weird to think about doing that with your great-great-grandmam.

Imagine how weird it'd be to do that with your great-great-grandchild.

"No," she agreed. "There's no hurry."

Sure, but she hadn't grown up hearing stories about him and his life...

"Good then," he decided. "Where ye lookin' t'check out in this mad place?"

No, but she'd be double dating him with a cove who'd most likely not be his grandda.

"I've not decided. I thought I'd see what looked like fun," she said.

George couldn't help grinning a little at that. "Beka Cooper, lookin' fer fun," he teased. "Who'd've thought."

They were close enough to the pool's edge now and Beka decided the best reply would be to try to shove him in.

Not nearly fast enough to evade that, George settled for trying to catch Beka's hand and pull her with him as he crashed into the water.

Good thing there wasn't a kid there.

Very good as Beka tried to struggle against his hold, but the side was slippery and then there was a splash and she came up spluttering.

Laughing, George paddled back out of her reach. "Cooled off now?" he taunted.

"No," she said, splashing some water at him. "You still look hot headed to me."

"Ye pushed me in, an' 'm th' one wit' a temper?" he asked, sputtering as the splash caught him in the face. "Cruel."

"You looked like you needed to be cooled down," she agreed and she was laughing now.

"Tha' a Dog's judgment?" George teased, diving towards her to try to push her back under.

Beka tried to peddle back, but coordination in water wasn't the best and she pushed against his chest as she went under to get him off.

He was still laughing as he rolled away from her though he was watching carefully t'make sure she'd be alright.

"Or jus' a lass'?"

"It'd be one and the same," she told him, making a face at him as she brushed her hair back. She should have braided it.

"Tisn'," George argued, shaking his hair out of his eyes like a dog.

Re: On the Outskirts

[identity profile] provostsdog.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm both," she pointed out. "I've decided it twice."

[identity profile] noearsyet.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
"How hot headed could I be?" he inquired. "When I came here wit' th'school instead o' goin' home t'Lower City?"

It'd been something he considered. And mayhap he should've done it.

"Who talked you out of it then?" she asked him. Home sounded nice, even if there'd be no pools or big room to enjoy.

Re: On the Outskirts

[identity profile] noearsyet.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Me mam," George admitted with a little shrug. "She did tell me home'd still be there come summer, and t'stay here an' enjoy meself."

Re: On the Outskirts

[identity profile] provostsdog.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
"You've got a good mam," Beka told her, amazed he'd listened. "Even if I'd not have minded some apple fritters."

Re: On the Outskirts

[identity profile] noearsyet.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
He shrugged, flipping his fingers through the water.

"Aye, well, she does wish th'best for me," he admitted uncomfortably. "Mayhap I can talk her into sendin' some fritters?"

"I'd rather go fetch them," Beka said, not thinking through her words.
