"What'd you hunt up that was looking good?" asked Jenny. She grinned. "The best? Are the cheesy ol' werewolf movies where the wold just sort of looks like an ape. And yeah, I'd say these sorts of movies prep you for fandom pretty well."

"He would have, but he got distracted." Jenny grinned. "Rupert runs the bookstore in town, and unfortunately, a good translation caught his eye and he was lost to the world for a while."

"Those are always a winner, that and the ones with psycho-killers and the ditzy prey who always goes and hides in the dark rather than just running." She chuckled, "I usually end up telling the screen how stupid whatever it is they're doing is."

"I can't believe there's a bookshop in town, and I didn't even realise it yet. Just shows that I don't get out into town enough." Mac took another bite of apple, swallowed it and added, "that's been added to my list of places to check out when we get back."

"Running is always your best option," said Jenny. Problem was? Sometimes it wasn't enough. But, hey, not a thing to scare one of the kids with. "I toss popcorn at the screen. Only problem is cleaning those grease stains off after."

"Aeropagitica, over on Minotaur Lane." She took another drink of her coffee. "Rupert Giles is the proprietor. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to books, but warning?" Jenny grinned. "He'd terrified of computers."

"I say, if its larger than you and has sharp teeth, then run. I feel that's a good rule to live by." She shrugged, "It's worked okay for me so far."

"He's terrified of computers?" Mac looks entirely puzzled by that outlook, "well someone has got to try and change that one. I barely travel anywhere without my laptop, useful in all situations."

"Smart of you," said Jenny. She blinked. "You haven't run into that much that's larger than you with sharp teeth, have you?"

Jenny snickered. "Has been since I've known him, at least," she said. "And believe me, I've tried." Though since I haven't seen him in eight years, things might've changed.

"Well... no not much, just those snow-monsters and one vampire." She shrugged, "I figure in fandom though, you should really be prepared for all kinds of eventuality."

Mac laughed, "well, I'll have to drop in there sometime, so while I'm there I might as well try to explain the virtues of computers."
