Disneyland [Day One]

After the surprise welcome at the airport, shuttle buses transported all of the Fandomites and their unexpected guests to the Paradise Pier Hotel where they were able to check in and unpack if they wanted before hitting up the parks.

It was an excellent day for Disneyland with an expected high of 80, a mostly sunny day and a slim chance of a rain shower.

Paradise Pier Hotel [Day One]

This resort (http://www.wdwinfo.com/paradise-pier-hotel/paradise.htm) overlooks California Adventure's boardwalk and features a seaside theme. Feel free to mod or handwave your own room number, just make sure you don't duplicate one someone is already using!

At the very end of Day One, so late it was probably Day Two, Jaina was in the hotel, completely unable to sleep.

Because of the "It's a Small World" still running through her head.

Main Street [Day One]

Walking down Main Street (http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland-california/disneyland-mainst.htm) will transport you back to the early 1900s. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and old-fashioned vehicles.

While GOB was wandering the park, he spotted Cinderella by City Hall. Some pleasantries were exchanged and she even agreed to pose for a cell phone picture with him.

And then he said, "So, the glass slipper thing. Does that mean you're some kind of foot fetishist? Because I'm okay with that. Want to see my feet?"

GOB did not hook up with Cinderella.

Wendy hadn't been to Disneyland before and was wandering around enjoying herself.

The fact that so far Clarence and his associated mind-breaking was nowhere to be seen was something of a relief.

Savannah and Storm had decided the first place the family was visiting was Adventureland because it seemed like a lot of fun.

That would be why the two girls were walking hand in hand and pointing things out to the men in the family.

This was, so far, Ana's favorite part of the park, though Faith seemed mostly unimpressed. She wanted to go to Critter Country and hug Winnie the Pooh. Or the Meta for him

Anakin sat on a bench next to a stroller, looking entirely uncomfortable in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.

As one knows, the people who work at Disney are trained to be the most courteous and helpful staff in the world. All the character actors go under even more specialized training to make sure that their interaction with their guests brings about a magical and treasured experience that families will cherish and bring them back again.

So it would take quite a bit for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to break character and start chasing after a guest. Possibly threatening to hurt him. Possibly dismemberment.

Then again no one at Disney had ever met Jamie Madrox.

"So much for this being the happiest place on Earth!" Jamie huffed as he made a break for main street.

Piper and Lindsey wandered into the park with three kids in tow. They all seemed pretty well behaved, though Lynn didn't seem to like having to share the attention of her parents.

"I want to go on the Dumbo ride!" Keely said, bouncing.

"Well I want to go on the tea cups!" Lynn added, intent to shoot down any ideas the other two girls had.

"I just want to see Daddy," Tricia pouted.

Piper resisted the urge to facepalm again. "There's plenty of time for both. And you'll see your dad later tonight."

It was going to be a long day.

There was a serious problem as to the fact that Jaina didn't know anything about this place. Because it meant standing in line for the ride at It's a Small World, trying to see around people in line and asking, "And what is this one again?"

Parker was mostly sad that her mint julep didn't have alcohol in it. After getting new shoes and backpacks for her kids, it was time for a quick check.

"Phones!"

Three cellphones were held up for inspection.

"Cash!"

Wads of bills, then stuffed back in their backpacks.

"GPS!"

Katrina sighed and lifted her hair, Nick held out his wrist, and Ben rolled his eyes and stuck out his ankle.

"Good. Stick together. Be back here in ninety minutes. And if you get arrested, your fathers will post bail." She glared at them. "Scoot!"

All three stuck out their tongues, then took off running for Tomorrowland as Parker collapsed onto a wrought-iron chair and rubbed her face.

Veronica had not planned on spending her first day in Disneyland with three kids in tow. At least Keely had opted to stick with her dad and her best friend. Because she was definitely the kid that made the least sense to Veronica.

Kaitlin wasn't crazy about Vanessa, but luckily Vanessa was pretty chill so there hadn't been any major fights. She was just trying to keep Richie from hitting on his sorta half sister. Because ew.

"Okay, gang, what are we doing first?"

"HAUNTED MANSION!" all three chorused.

Everybody else could have Disneyland; you could buy wine in California Adventure, so Jen ended up spending a good portion of her day there, hanging out in the winery, sampling food in the various restaurants . . .

. . . riding the Grizzly River Run. Whitewater rafting rides were awesome on a day like this.

That was, until Jen discovered California Screamin'. She might never get off this roller coaster.
