Arrakis - Sietch Tabr - Wednesday Morning & Afternoon
It was around dawn when the scent of food began wafting up from the kitchens. Fresh baked bread, coffee, and the lilting tones of Fremen chattering in a mixture of Galach and Chakobsa as they went about their lives.
If they were a bit more outgoing and less-wary of the visitors than they had been the day before, well, going out into the desert to meet with Shai-Hulud had shown a certain daring and respect, and those were two traits that the Fremen held very dear.
The portal would arrive to pick them all up around three, but until then, the visitors from Fandom had the run of Tabr.
Although it still didn't make you safe from the Aunties.

Re: The Kitchens
He doubted they were gonna buy that.
Re: The Kitchens
"Sorry, but I think they like you," she murmured. "They aren't normally this horrible."
"We like him a damn sight better than Farad'n!" one of them called out in Galach, and Ghanima threw the rest of her roll at the offender as the others laughed harder.
"No respect. Absolutely no respect," she complained.
Re: The Kitchens
He was grinning, but his tone was serious when he shook his head. "In my experience only those who respect you quite a bit are willing to criticize your choice of companions."
Re: The Kitchens
"They're just doing this because you're right here," she announced, sticking out her tongue as if she was five and not almost twenty-five. "I think they also like knocking me down a few notches in front of the students."
Re: The Kitchens
He suppressed a momentary surge of envy. Ghani seemed like she'd had an entertaining childhood.
Re: The Kitchens
Sometimes, Ghanima had a one-track mind.
Re: The Kitchens
He flashed Ghani a lecherous grin. Sometimes Max had one of those one-track minds himself.
Re: The Kitchens
"I'm not going to get any peace as long as I'm in here," Ghani sighed, shaking her head as she hopped off the table. "I can tell."
"If you think you can outrun them, do you want an actual tour?" she asked. "We won't be able to get out without a few cuffs to the head for 'being lazy,' but we might be able to win free."
Re: The Kitchens
"And I think I would like a tour," he pushed himself to his feet, braving a couple of friendly bops to the head to do it. "Because when I looked around I wasn't able to see anything, and that's usually a sign of missing the important stuff."
