It was around dawn when the scent of food began wafting up from the kitchens. Fresh baked bread, coffee, and the lilting tones of Fremen chattering in a mixture of Galach and Chakobsa as they went about their lives.

If they were a bit more outgoing and less-wary of the visitors than they had been the day before, well, going out into the desert to meet with Shai-Hulud had shown a certain daring and respect, and those were two traits that the Fremen held very dear.

The portal would arrive to pick them all up around three, but until then, the visitors from Fandom had the run of Tabr.

Although it still didn't make you safe from the Aunties.

He had to stop by here. Leto dipped his hand in the water, owned by the tribe. His share was here too, part of Sietch Tabr.

But the changes it was used to bring on was happening fast - too fast. At least they had still been able to call a worm, but they rarely came this close uncalled.

"Hello," Tony said, since he was walking through the area and Leto was there. And if he'd been paying attention, maybe he would've gone the other way around, but he was pretty sure Leto had already seen him, so yeah, might as well say hi. "Nice place you have here."

Leto looked up at Tony. "I miss it," he said. There was nothing defensive in his voice. Tony was clearly making an effort, and he had chosen to go on this trip. He let the water drop from his fingers into the basin.

Now Tony was confused. "Water is bad? I thought you needed water."

"It's a fine balance," Leto replied. "Tip the balance of an ecosystem and it has consequences. More water will make the worms disappear. No worms, no spice."
