It was around dawn when the scent of food began wafting up from the kitchens. Fresh baked bread, coffee, and the lilting tones of Fremen chattering in a mixture of Galach and Chakobsa as they went about their lives.

If they were a bit more outgoing and less-wary of the visitors than they had been the day before, well, going out into the desert to meet with Shai-Hulud had shown a certain daring and respect, and those were two traits that the Fremen held very dear.

The portal would arrive to pick them all up around three, but until then, the visitors from Fandom had the run of Tabr.

Although it still didn't make you safe from the Aunties.

Out in the sandy courtyard and surrounding area, Fremen children are trying to play the glove game, coaxing sandtrout with drops of water, then smoothing them into "living gloves" before they drop off and burrow away. Try to participate, or just watch this strange game.

Helen had handwavily due to insane day ridden a worm yesterday and was currently wondering if there was some way she could remain here. She hadn't been truly warm like this since she'd left home. And despite the reserve - or perhaps because of it - she really liked the people.

She smiled at the children and crouched down to watch them play, wondering how they managed.

Finding herself fascinated by the children playing, Valentine watched for a while, trying to pick up on the nuances, before, with a kind smile, approaching and trying to be welcomed into the game, still watching even as she gave it a try and laughed at the attempts.
