Girls With Guns trip [Monday afternoon] - Paint Ball!

Triela took a slow look around the central atrium where the portal dropped them off and frowned to herself a bit. The place looked... different from the last time they'd been here. After a moment she shrugged dismissively. It had been nearly a month, and things changed. Besides, it wasn't that much different. A little bit more run-down than before, but it sort of was an abandoned mall. No on was paying to keep the place nice.

Anyway, there was paintball to play!

She gave everyone some time to mingle and get the socializing out of their system. After a bit she caught Algren's eye and nodded. "Okay people," she raised her voice, "here's how it's going to work. Most of you have been assigned a partner. When I read the list you should grab a gun, a mask, and some ammo and find your partner. Check each other to make sure your masks are secure because we don't want anyone losing an eye."

"When I give the signal you'll have a five minute grace period. No one shoot during those five minutes so you've got time to get some cover. Once those five minutes are up, it's open season. We'll meet back here in," she paused and checked her watch, "one hour to catch the portal home. Don't be late. Now listen up because here are your partners:

Algren and Sokka
Helen and Turtle
Naomi and Lion-o
Dinah and K-Mart
Agnes and Momoko
Dojima and Romeo

"If I didn't call your name then you're on your own." She grinned. "Good luck with that."

"Any questions?" Triela paused just long enough to look around and catch everyone's eye. "Your five minutes starts now."

[Quick OOC note: just remember that no one gets bitten on this trip, so keep that in mind with your pings. Up early for time zones, and OCD on the way is here! Get to it!]

Well, of course Algren was there. Somebody had to be the token target for every student on the trip, after all. And he had to make certain that nobody did anything particularly stupid.

He really had no idea what to make of being paired off with Sokka, however. Or the state of disarray the mall had fallen into since their last visit here.

Field trips were the best part of school. Especially when it involved paint balls, an abandoned mall, and people to shoot at.

K-Mart looked around for Dinah, already mentally planning the first place to run and take cover in. All the crap she'd gone through made her wicked good at hiding.

Lion-o checked his gear, not really noticing the difference in the mall from the last time he was there. It's not like he goes shopping all that often.

Tahiri was quiet and focused as she inspected the paintball gun and got used to the feel of it -- she'd gotten a few brief looks at a pellet launcher thanks to the Wraiths, but projectile firearms were still new to her.

She was also trying really hard to tell herself that the tingling at the back of her neck was just excessive worrying about how long Ben had been gone, and nothing to do with the alarmingly dilapidated state of the mall.

She was maybe doing a little too good a job of convincing herself of that.

Oooooh, paintball guns. Jen had never gotten to do this before -- they'd entertained the notion once, back in Silver Hills, but even leaving aside the fact that their little odd-jobs business barely kept them fed, much less left money to spare for paintball expeditions, they'd had their hands a little too full with Ransik's mutants to take the time off and do it.

She was inspecting her gun gleefully, and going through all the ammo looking for -- what else? Pink paintballs.

Momoko was humming cheerfully as she checked to make sure she knew what was what and how to work it. Especially making sure she was familiar with the gun and how to load it!

Triela kept making quick runs out to check for more people, but she always came back to the Atrium. That's where people would gather, and if she missed anyone they'd show up here.

She really, really wanted to find Mr. Algren. Someone needed to give some orders around here.
