fh_trips | Girls With Guns trip [Monday afternoon]

Triela took a slow look around the central atrium where the portal dropped them off and frowned to herself a bit. The place looked... different from the last time they'd been here. After a moment she shrugged dismissively. It had been nearly a month, and things changed. Besides, it wasn't that much different. A little bit more run-down than before, but it sort of was an abandoned mall. No on was paying to keep the place nice.

Anyway, there was paintball to play!

She gave everyone some time to mingle and get the socializing out of their system. After a bit she caught Algren's eye and nodded. "Okay people," she raised her voice, "here's how it's going to work. Most of you have been assigned a partner. When I read the list you should grab a gun, a mask, and some ammo and find your partner. Check each other to make sure your masks are secure because we don't want anyone losing an eye."

"When I give the signal you'll have a five minute grace period. No one shoot during those five minutes so you've got time to get some cover. Once those five minutes are up, it's open season. We'll meet back here in," she paused and checked her watch, "one hour to catch the portal home. Don't be late. Now listen up because here are your partners:

Algren and Sokka
Helen and Turtle
Naomi and Lion-o
Dinah and K-Mart
Agnes and Momoko
Dojima and Romeo

"If I didn't call your name then you're on your own." She grinned. "Good luck with that."

"Any questions?" Triela paused just long enough to look around and catch everyone's eye. "Your five minutes starts now."

Before the paint starts flying

You're free to wander from location to location. If you need an NPC zombie then let us know in the appropriate OOC thread, and include a link to where you need the zombie to ping in. You are, of course, welcome to mod yourself a zombie too. There are a bunch (one might even say a horde) after all.

It's a fully mod-able toy store for you to shoot people in!

Where the mod-able clothes seem eerily appropriate somehow!

It's the same mod-able food court from the laser tag trip, but anything that might be considered food is oddly gone now!

Where the mod-able mannequins all seem to have had the tops of their heads broken off!

The mod-able ~~sharp object supplier~~ salon has about half of its mirrors broken!

There's no gun store, but there are lots of other mod-able places you might want to explore!

It's big, open, and also where the portal home is going to show up!

Check to make sure your partner made it with all their limbs. Then check to make sure you have all of yours. Then hop the portal home.

Zombie apocalypses do not necessarily entail the end of the world, you know. (And did anyone notice how lazy I am with icons tonight? WHOA CRAZY WEEKEND!

Well, of course Algren was there. Somebody had to be the token target for every student on the trip, after all. And he had to make certain that nobody did anything particularly stupid.

He really had no idea what to make of being paired off with Sokka, however. Or the state of disarray the mall had fallen into since their last visit here.

Field trips were the best part of school. Especially when it involved paint balls, an abandoned mall, and people to shoot at.

Jack was ready!

K-Mart looked around for Dinah, already mentally planning the first place to run and take cover in. All the crap she'd gone through made her wicked good at hiding.

Dinah adjusted her goggles and grinned at K-Mart. "Ready to take out the opposition?"

[back in 7 hours]

It only took a few minutes, but Jack had rigged up a security perimeter around the toy store...by setting all the Motion Activated Walky Yippy Pups in a corral by the entrance. No one would be sneaking up on ol' Jack Burton here, nosirree.

Lion-o checked his gear, not really noticing the difference in the mall from the last time he was there. It's not like he goes shopping all that often.

Naomi was definitely excited about this as she mingled.

Romeo looked around the mall with distaste. It didn't seme like a very pleasant place to spend time.

Dōjima, of course, had to bounce over to her partner. "Ready to do this?" she asked, swinging her mask from her fingertips. "I nailed Algren-sensei a few times during laser-tag, so I'm pretty sure we can take out everyone else."

"More than ready," he promised, offering a hand for a high five. "We will be the champions."

"This oughtta be interesting," Triela said as she glanced between Algren and Sokka.

"You look pretty excited," Triela commented. "You recovered from climbing all the way up to the roof?"

Triela didn't know K-Mart all that well, so she contented herself with tossing the other girl a friendly wave.
