The Crown Princess - Tuesday [Rooms and Lido Deck]

The ship was at sea all day today, but that wasn't going to stop the fun. The sun was still shining brightly in the sky, dousing sunbathers in its heavy rays, and the water looked positively azure along the sides of the boat.

The Lido deck remained open for summer joy, with little umbrellas in every drink.

"I'd share anything with you," he said with a grin. "But, do you need help with your lotion? I can rub some on you."

"Thanks, I'm not inclined to have you go running off quite yet," Adora said. "I'm still enjoying your company."

"Me too," he said and grinned. "Is that a yes to the lotion?"

He hoped.

"That's a no," she smiled. "No running away."

"I wasn't going to run away," he said. "I've got lotion right here. You'd just turn around and I'd swim on over."

"And you wouldn't suddenly find yourself confused or in need of a dip in the pool?" She asked, crossing her arms below her breasts.

"...what?" Hannibal asked.

"You seem genuinely surprised," Adora replied. "So then Claudia was right and it is me," she said to herself.

Then more brightly back at him, "I take it back, you may certainly apply more sunscreen, and I thank you for it."

"You're welcome," he said, reaching for his lotion and motioning for her to turn around. "I'm good at this."

"I'd bet you are," she smirked, turning and securing her hair on top of her head. "Let me know if I have scales or something terrifying back there, okay?"

Hannibal hesitated for just a moment before shaking that off and squeezing some lotion into his hand.

"Just smooth skin," he promised and started rubbing the lotion into her shoulders.

"Good! I would hate to think I was part lizard and didn't know it," she teased, twisting her neck to try and grin at him.

"I would hate to think that you didn't notice that after so many years," he said, grinning back. "I'd wonder about your eyesight."

"There's a lot of things you can learn about yourself suddenly," she teased.

"You don't have scales," he assured her, running his hands down her back to show her.

And Adora got to learn that yes, she did like that. "Your hands are very good at telling that."

"I'm glad you think so," he said, smiling at her from over her shoulder and moving his hands down to her lower back. "You've got really nice skin here."

And he wasn't even talking about her breasts. "It's the same skin I always have. But I'm glad you approve."

"Yeah, well, I haven't really touched your skin like this before, have you?" he asked, hands rubbing her shoulders.

Little did he know that he HAD sort of touched her like this before.

"Oh, well, of course you haven't," she stammered a little. "There was never a reason before for you to." Other than when he was cold and sleepy.

"People don't always need reasons to touch each other," he said and tapped his fingers against her shoulder before his thumbs kneaded the base of her neck.

Adora was going to have to work not to melt right into the tub. "No. No reasons."

"Sometimes it's just nice," he said and smiled at her. "People like touching other people. Especially with warm hands, like mine are!"

"I can't agree with that more," Adora agreed wholeheartedly. "Your hands..."

"My hands...?" he repeated, urging her to continue.
