The ship was at sea all day today, but that wasn't going to stop the fun. The sun was still shining brightly in the sky, dousing sunbathers in its heavy rays, and the water looked positively azure along the sides of the boat.

The Lido deck remained open for summer joy, with little umbrellas in every drink.

It'd been a while since Ender had heard anything from Karal, or said anything to him in return. But he'd finished his project, finally, and that meant the Sun Priest would have to be told about it.

After he'd woken up and made some tea, he sat down on the bed, cross-legged, with a piece of paper, and started writing. Dear Karal...

Lindsay stretched out a bit and briefly considered getting out of bed only to remember that the ship was at sea that day. She then decided that the important thing to do was to stay in bed and get some extra sleep.

Around midday, Angela made her way back to her suite. The sun was really too strong at this point to be sunbathing and swimming, and since they were at sea there weren't any interesting sights, so she was taking the chance to nibble at an early lunch (or really late breakfast) out on the balcony.

It was going to be a while before John managed to peel his face off of the carpet. Jaina had pointed out that there was more floorspace with the beds pushed together and it seemed there was just enough to accommodate a wasted teenage boy who hadn't made it to bed the night before.

Leto woke early, and felt more rested than he had the previous morning. Quietly he slipped out of bed and out to the balcony, where he stayed for a while, just watching the sea.

It wasn't that Arthur hadn't already been aware of it, but it required restating. He shot the little heap of snoring sunburn a baleful look, and resolved to yell at him once the boy woke up. That would do him some good.

Until then, Merlin probably did need the rest. Idiot.
