The Crown Princess - Tuesday [Rooms and Lido Deck]

The ship was at sea all day today, but that wasn't going to stop the fun. The sun was still shining brightly in the sky, dousing sunbathers in its heavy rays, and the water looked positively azure along the sides of the boat.

The Lido deck remained open for summer joy, with little umbrellas in every drink.

"That sounds" -- incredibly dull, really, and something of that thought flickered over Romeo's face before he could repress it -- "very peaceful. I think my ideal vacation would be much more like this, though perhaps on a beach instead of a boat."

Leto couldn't help noticing Romeo's reaction, and he smiled. "I suppose our preferred holiday says a lot about our background."

Romeo returned the smile. "My home is not a quiet place," he said, by way of agreement. "Working in the desert just sounds a bit desolate to me, as a vacation."

"If you know the desert, you learn to perceive things that a stranger to that environment wouldn't notice," Leto replied. "And a sietch is usually crowded, although people tend to know each other rather well."
