Graham was a big fan of food, and walking, and tours! So this definitely felt like a given for him, and he was excited to discover some new favorites!

Had Liliana been tempted by the shipwrecks? Of course. But even if she raised the dead, she currently had no need for them, and heedlessly raising the dead was for necrotrash twins people courting mobs and pitchforks.

Going on the food tour was good both in that it was a different food tour than they'd gone with earlier in the week and it removed her from the temptation of just doing it anyway for funsies.

...Especially once she realized that staging a mock combat between the crews of the ships and whatever leviathans she could summon from the deeps would be entertaining, both by itself and for the terror it would evoke in the snorkelers. She was going to spend the latter half of the food tour ever-so-slightly sulking.

The part of Ignis that considered passing on another food tour just to defy expectations and be contrarian existed for maybe all of two seconds before being summarily rejected as being absurd and never to be humored ever again.

"In my experience," Ignis murmured back wryly, "the only good Leviathan is a dead one that remains that way."

He certainly wasn't going to be convinced by evoking a creature that shared the name of the god at the crux of the one of the worst days of his life, Liliana.

"Now, have a bite of this fish," he said, offering out a sample of it to her, "the spicy gravy is incredible. And if satiating your hunger for good food still doesn't dampen that desire for dredging up the dead of the deep, perhaps I could sway you with a small field trip would temporarily assuage you."

Any leviathans she reanimated would be under her control, Ignis!

"What field trip?" Liliana asked, leaning in to take the bite. "That gravy is good, but I want to know about the field trip."

Clever Ignis. There was no way the food would have distracted her, but poking her curiosity certainly would.

It was almost as if he came prepared, or something, and a small smile that he wasn't doing a great job of hiding surfaced.

"Well," he offered, "a bit of research has revealed that the island is a bit lacking in the sort of tombs we've been able to enjoy on other excursions, and it isn't much by the sound of it, but there is one rather well-known for some very curious activity, indeed. It could very well just be the work of elaborate pranksters or dedicated deviants, but, in the event that perhaps it might not be..."

He offered out another bite to her.

"Hardly the spectacle of leviathans and drowned sailors," he admitted, "but surely worth a bit of investigation, wouldn't you say?"

She leaned into the bite on reflex, eyes wide and filled with a kind of wonder that had nothing to do with the cuisine. "My darling," she said softly, "you looked up tombs for me?"

Yes, he had brought her to Steyliff Grove for her birthday, but that was a crypt he'd already been fully aware of. It's doubtful he would have ever heard about this one unless he'd deliberately gone looking for something of the like.

The softness of her tone worked its way into his smile, as well. "Of course I did. At this point, one of these trips without a venture into some monumentum mortuorum would simply feel incomplete."

And if it also swayed her even just temporarily from wanting to raise whole pirate crews on a whim, then all the better.

The next thing Ignis would be tasting was her lips and mouth as she leaned in to kiss him, deep and fervent. "I am very glad that we broke the ice on saying 'I love you' months ago," she murmured. "It would be quite embarrassing were the first time to be in a restaurant as part of a food tour with strangers, but I don't think I could have helped myself." Her hand skimmed over his face. "I delight every day that you are mine..."

She leaned in for another kiss, the follow up "...and that I am yours." was whisper soft against his lips.

The kiss had caught Ignis slightly off-guard, as well as the ardent outpouring, because, for him, the effort had truly been as natural and evident as breathing, as easy as their constant dancing in step with each other. But when she kissed him that second time, he melted into it with a grateful sigh, stepping closer, hand sliding around her waist and taking a moment to breathe in the scents around him to remind himself that they were hardly in the privacy of their room or the quietness of secluded part of the beach.

It would be a while, before he responded, although Ignis liked to think he was saying plenty without words.

"And I certainly strive," he finally said, mirroring her hand on his cheek with a brush of his own against hers, "to keep it that way."

"This is the last restaurant, right?" she checked. "Because as delicious as all this food is, we have somewhere else to be."

Could be a tomb. Could be their hotel room. Could be anywhere without prying eyes. Liliana was flexible.
