The real trouble was probably going to be getting her out again.

Bajan Walking Food Tour

Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
necrotrash twinspeople courting mobs and pitchforks.Going on the food tour was good both in that it was a different food tour than they'd gone with earlier in the week and it removed her from the temptation of just doing it anyway for funsies.
...Especially once she realized that staging a mock combat between the crews of the ships and whatever leviathans she could summon from the deeps would be entertaining, both by itself and for the terror it would evoke in the snorkelers. She was going to spend the latter half of the food tour ever-so-slightly sulking.

He certainly wasn't going to be convinced by evoking a creature that shared the name of the god at the crux of the one of the worst days of his life, Liliana.
"Now, have a bite of this fish," he said, offering out a sample of it to her, "the spicy gravy is incredible. And if satiating your hunger for good food still doesn't dampen that desire for dredging up the dead of the deep, perhaps I could sway you with a small field trip would temporarily assuage you."
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
"What field trip?" Liliana asked, leaning in to take the bite. "That gravy is good, but I want to know about the field trip."
Clever Ignis. There was no way the food would have distracted her, but poking her curiosity certainly would.
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
"Well," he offered, "a bit of research has revealed that the island is a bit lacking in the sort of tombs we've been able to enjoy on other excursions, and it isn't much by the sound of it, but there is one rather well-known for some very curious activity, indeed. It could very well just be the work of elaborate pranksters or dedicated deviants, but, in the event that perhaps it might not be..."
He offered out another bite to her.
"Hardly the spectacle of leviathans and drowned sailors," he admitted, "but surely worth a bit of investigation, wouldn't you say?"
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
Yes, he had brought her to Steyliff Grove for her birthday, but that was a crypt he'd already been fully aware of. It's doubtful he would have ever heard about this one unless he'd deliberately gone looking for something of the like.
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
And if it also swayed her even just temporarily from wanting to raise whole pirate crews on a whim, then all the better.
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
She leaned in for another kiss, the follow up "...and that I am yours." was whisper soft against his lips.
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
It would be a while, before he responded, although Ignis liked to think he was saying plenty without words.
"And I certainly strive," he finally said, mirroring her hand on his cheek with a brush of his own against hers, "to keep it that way."
Re: Bajan Walking Food Tour
Could be a tomb. Could be their hotel room. Could be anywhere without prying eyes. Liliana was flexible.

So no one was as surprised as she when she spotted the little ghost girl sitting in an otherwise empty crypt. She looked to be about seven or eight. "Who are you?" she asked, surprised. "You're not Mary or Dorcas." Ignis was then treated to one half of a conversation. "You were here first? Was that why you moved all coffins around? No? You were trying to 'wake them up'? But why?...Ah, so you'd have someone to play with. But they wouldn't--yes, that's because they moved on, darling, they didn't leave ghosts to linger. Would you like to--no? You're scared? I--oh all right, all right, stop making such a fuss...Well, why are you staying here? You're not going to get any less lonely...You're anchored here? Well, find a new anchor then."
Ignis felt something chilly brush against his hand before Liliana responded with a sharp, "Absolutely not. He's mine....No, I'm certainly not going to stay and play with you. I have other things to do...don't you start throwing a tantrum, young lady, I can out-tantrum you easily. I've had far more experience throwing them...." She sighed, very dramatically. "If I summon you a ghost playmate, will you stop hugging me?"
With a roll of her eyes and a touch of the bone-chilling cold that accompanied her Planeswalking, Liliana summoned two spectral children. "There, the three of you introduce yourselves. Yes, yes--what did I say about the hugging?!"
Another aggrieved huff and an ostentatious dusting of her skirts - which, coincidentally, last long enough for the three children to decide that they didn't hate each other, as children sometimes did - and then Liliana slid her arm through Ignis'. "Let's go," she murmured to him. "While they're distracted arguing over who is going to be 'it.'"
Most ghosts couldn't be seen or heard by those without the skills to do so. But a soft, multivoiced giggle followed them up and out of the crypt and into the sunlight.
