The weather was a little cooler and cloudier today, but that just meant it was really time to break out those fashionable hats and scarves!

Okay, maybe only whatever scarves you all brought are fashionable, but some of you are annoying and can make any item of clothing work, so just make sure you're bundled safely. We're only halfway through the week and there's still so much to do!

"I think the main take away from all of this is that you have a home now," Kamala said leaning her head on Arden's shoulder as she swiped back over the other sketches. "And I think you got a pretty good one. And a hot ginger who likes you."

The expression on Cal's face in the drawing suggested something a lot more than like, but Arden was willing to assume artistic interpretation there.

"It's the best home, full of the very best people." She leaned in to hug Kamala. "Yes," she said. "By the way, yes."

The hug was warmly accepted but Kamala was a little confused by the response. "Uh... yes to having a hot ginger?" she clarified.

"I mean, also yes to that, buuut...I'm gonna say yes to your parents, too. After the trip. But I thought you should be the first to know."

Arden gave Kamala a smile. "I gotta get over being scared of people loving me sometime, I guess."

Kamala's immediate response was a gasp followed by a burst of incoherent but unmistakably ecstatic sounds, something between an excited squeal and a series of high-pitched "eeeee"s. Her hands flailed wildly as she processed Arden’s words not unlike a certain frog muppet when he got excited.

It was a good thing joyful noise conveyed everything she was feeling because right now she couldn't even find the words.

She half-jumped onto the bed, grabbing Arden’s arm in her excitement, eyes wide with disbelief and glee.

"WHAT?!"

Oh, look, she found a word.

And now there was a tackle hug of epicness as Kamala glomped on to her friend.

No words. Just a hug.

"Also, we kissed some," Arden teased as Kamala clung. "... Back to the hot ginger who likes me."

And now the hugging got a break as Kamala pulled back to look at her friend.

“Kissing the ginger on an undefined dating activity,” she teased. “How outside the norms!”

"Apparently, he likes my butt," Arden informed her, trying not to smile. "Especially in dresses."

“Well, yes, you have a butt that doesn’t quit,” Kamala teased. “It’s the ass with sass. I see you two decided to do a deep dive into your attributes. I assume you had a twenty minute conversation about his arms?”

"He doesn't understand why I want to bite them," Arden laughed. "And had no clue that I thought they were hot."

“To be fair I’m not sure why you want to bite his arms,” Kamala admitted. “And wow, you guys went from just friends to arm biting and ass watching in less than what… 20 minutes? Not bad for a guy who has zero flirt action.”

"You've never seen something so hot you just wanted to bite it?" Arden asked. "Not hard or to hurt, but...." She peered at Kamala. "Wait, is that not a thing? I thought it was a thing. It's just a me thing?"

Great, now she was going to go look this up on the internet and goddess only knew what she'd find there?

"But we went to admitting these things in twenty minutes. With breaks to eat and sometimes kiss."

Biting things was more of an Eleanor thing and even then Kamala didn't know anything about that. Which didn't matter because now Kamala was focused on something else.

"You kissed? Dang, girl," Kamala said pretending to fan herself. "You might be taking time to figure what the two of you are but between the kissing and the wanting to bite things I think you're making some pretty solid decisions on where it's going."

"Wanting is not the same as doing!" Arden said, laughing. "We just kissed. And it was nice. Not just the kiss but...this is the first time we kissed as us. Not high on gremlin venom, not us from this crazy date in the future. Just...us. We were due."

"All of the above?" Arden said. "I mean...the us from the future technically kissed better, I think? Because they've had twenty years of practice. But this was like...the difference between a leap from something high and a safe landing, you know?"
