Luke, a tall golden droid, and the Ewok chief Chirpa, were waiting for the volunteers when the portal finally deposited everyone on Endor. "Welcome," Luke said, giving them all a smile, "and thank you in advance for your help."

He gestured to the Ewok. "This is Chief Chirpa, the leader of Bright Tree Village, where we'll be staying for the next few days." Chirpa bowed to them, then spoke a few words. The droid shuffled forward to translate. "Chief Chirpa welcomes you to Endor," he said, words coming out pinched and precise, "and requests that you make yourself at home. If there is anything he or his warriors can do while you are assisting their neighbors, please let him know."

There was a brief conversation between Threepio and the Chief. "Or tell me and I will convey it," Threepio said. "I am C-3PO, human cyborg relations, and will be serving as translator for you during your stay here. Do watch out for the bugs, and the large drops, and the variety of creatures found in the forest..."

Luke shook his head at him and Threepio stopped speaking. "He worries a little too much," he explained with an easy smile. "If you'll follow me, you can drop off your stuff in the visitors' quarters and we can get started building some huts."

Brooke contemplated her sleeping bag, wondering if it was possible to suffocate if you hid in one with the while thing zipped over her face. Because that would be okay with her.

When John spotted Brooke, he walked over and tossed a shirt at her. "I hear you might need more of these."

Torn between total mortification and righteous indignation, Brooke went with the second option. Tossing the shirt back at him, she shot back, "Oh, come on. Maybe someone should have just closed that window faster."

"Thankfully I didn't see it, not that I haven't before along with roughly half the student population, but come on! You're one step away from being a Girls Gone Wild star." And John couldn't adblock commercials.

"Hey, no one was supposed to see that!" she protested. "...Except a few seventeen-year-olds in the distant future, but you can't tell me they wouldn't thank me for that."

"So you basically flashed your grandkids on purpose?" That was just wrong.

Now Brooke wished she hadn't thrown the shirt back, just so she'd have something to flail with. "I did not flash my grandkids!"

"Except for that part where you did," he pointed out. "Along with their potential friends and boyfriends."

"Think of it this way: now I've flashed everyone's grandkids," she said, half out of mental-flail. "Let's hear it for viral video and YouTube!"

John really hoped this didn't cross into his universe. "And to think you didn't even have to be gremlin-bit. Huh, I actually feel sorry for you."

"Hey," Brooke said, a little sharply. "I'd only let you feel sorry for me if I had a bad rack. Those grandkids are lucky. That was accidentally skeevy, wasn't it?"

Smacking his hand against his forehead, John really wished he didn't know that her rack was very nice. "Okay, I'm going to go over to my bunk and pretend I didn't hear that now." Possibly without uncovering his face.

"Hey," Peyton said. "Did you get a phone call from Lucas saying he wasn't coming back?"

Well someone was cutting straight to the traumatizing point which Brooke was trying not to dwell too much on while in the place with the fuzzy creatures. "No, I got a letter. My phone call was from you telling me I'm naked on the Internet."

"My phone call?" Peyton stared at her. "And - wait... naked on the internet? What did you do now?"

Brooke made a face, not really wanting to have to tell anyone, but it's not like it wasn't already out there. "You know the time capsule messages? I kind of... did a thing."

"A thing. Like a naked thing?" Peyton shook her head. "I don't even know what time capsule thing you're talking about."

"Like, a half-naked, naked in all the ways that matter when you have a camera pointed between here and here thing," Brooke said, complete with helpful camera-like gestures. "Yeah, so, at my version of our school we did interviews that were going to get released way off in the future, but then someone decided to leak the fun parts, i.e., me, to the net."

Peyton couldn't help laughing. "Oh Brooke, you didn't! Oh God, tell me I didn't do anything really stupid too!"

"If you did, you wisely kept it to yourself because I'm sorry, P. Sawyer, but I totally would have have to try and throw you under the bus to save face."

"Oh, I have no illusions about that, B. Davis," Peyton said with a grin. "And I'm sure you'd find some way to convince me it would be good for me."
