The sun might be setting, but the temperatures are barely dropping, and there's still plenty to do if relaxing for the evening isn't your idea of fun.

Kasambi Estate: Main Area

After his mixology class, Anakin brought back his ingredients and began to make ginger and rose cocktails.

Watching them turn color was definitely the best part.

"Anyone need a drink?" he called out to the rest of the estate.

"You make drinks?" Stark asked skeptically. "I didn't know you made drinks."

If Anakin ever made drinks Stark would have thought they would have been for Wednesdays in the summer and be horrifying.

"I make drinks now!" Anakin said proudly. "I took a class."

"Are they safe to drink?" Stark asked. Then paused and decided to reframe the question.

"Would one you handed me be safe to drink?"

"Most likely," Anakin said, handing Stark a glass and a shot full of lemon juice. "When you pour in the lemon juice, it changes color from blue to purple," he said proudly.

"Most likely?" Stark echoed. "That doesn't make me want to drink it." That did not, of course, stop him from taking the glass and the shot.

He was reasonably sure Anakin wouldn't poison him deliberately.

"Well, I have a reputation to maintain," Anakin said, smiling, "but the paperwork for killing someone on a field trip is formidable."

"I've been spared due to paperwork?" Stark asked. "I supposed I ought to be grateful for that."

"Oh, how the turntables have turned," said Summer, snorting a little to see Anakin take the class back to their estate, and since she was so often the one behind the bartending, she was going to plop comfortably in a chair and declare, "Hook me up, Anakin. Show me what you've learned!"

"Well, you were right there," Anakin teased, "but I'm happy to show you again."

"Sure," Summer allowed, "but you're all on your own now, and I can judge you better now that I'm not also making drinks. Am I going to have to start worrying about my job security?"

As if she didn't have five billion other jobs to fall back on if her bartending gig were to suddenly be threatened by the likes of Drama Robes McGee over here.

"Well, then," said Summer, smiling extra sweetly at Anakin now, complete with a flutter of her eyelashes and full knowledge that she hadn't even had the drink yet, "I have to say, this might be one of the best drinks I've had sofarthisweek."

"It wasn't poisoned," Stark offered helpfully. "At least I haven't died yet."

"Ohmygod," said Summer, "can you imagine the scandal? High school dean murders teachers, students, and guests by poison on luxurious spring break vacation. But now you are kind of making me want to give it a few moments before I drink one, just to be safe."

"I don't think he'd murder anyone but me," Stark said cheerfully. "You ought to be safe."

It was a good thing being shaped wrong for a couple of days had happened and maybe possibly cured Stark of being unable to look at Summer for a while. Otherwise sharing a room might have been even more awkward than it was.

"I don't think that ought is as reassuring as you think it is," said Summer, who was definitely benefiting from a long day of handwavy activities to create a buffer from any sense of awkwardness that they could be experiencing right now. Plus, you know, mixing drinks and then enjoying them was helping a bit, too. "But I will say...if he hasn't murdered you yet, you ought to be safe, too. It's not like he hasn't had ample opportunity."

Stark had also participated in different handwavey activities (though he was considering that he hadn't actually packed anything for swimming in due to being distracted by being the wrong shape).

"I'm not sure I'll ever be truly safe from Anakin. Though if he were going to kill me he wouldn't be able to torment me in the summer and he would miss that."

They had a very healthy and normal friendship, those two.

"You're making drinks?" asked Amaya, returning from Ombak with her hands full of several skewers of chicken, after having been very successful in making her case that chicken was white meat, and therefor, fit the theme perfectly and let's put them all on sticks while we were at it, too, thank you.

"I'd take that trade," said Amaya, with a stout nod, shifting her handfuls of chicken satay to offer one out to Anakin. "Always glad to make a good bargain. What'cha mixing up, anyway?"
