When you sleep under the stars, the day starts very early. Bonus: the Maasai Warriors taking care of everyone have arrived with coffee and tea for the suites to drink as you watch the sun rise. The second bonus: sunrise is the very best time to go on a game drive where the giraffes are, and the zebra and see all of the animals!

It took Liz a few moments to catch on and she laughed as she turned her own camera back round to take a photo of Prompto, “hi,” she said with a smile.

Well, now Prompto had to take a picture of Liz taking a picture of him!

Then he laughed, lowering the camera with a grin. "Hey."

Okay, seriously, though, who let these two out to do this crap in public now?

Liz laughed as Prompto took a photo of her taking a photo of him, “this is incredible,” she gushed, lowering her own camera, “can you believe we’re doing this?”

Prompto'd had a pretty steady streak of amazing school trips going for him, so the trip itself wasn't nearly as remarkable and amazing to him as the fact that they were doing it together, and he just kind of got caught in a moment, with a little tug in his chest, and it didn't even matter what was going on around them outside the vehicle, it could have been the most amazing thing in the world, and he wouldn't have noticed it, because he was too busy marveling at the amazing thing right in front of him.

"No," he said, softly at first, and with a smile to match, "I really can't..."

A moment longer, and he seemed to shake his head to pull himself out of it, laughing it off and trying not to turn a little pink (and we all knew how well that usually went).

"Think you got any really good ones so far?"

Liz beamed at him, “I think I got some pretty good ones,” she said and then paused, “you think we can add the photos we take of the wildlife to our cat photo competition?”

After all some of the animals were part of the cat family, sure they happened to be a lot bigger but it still counted right?

"We definitely have to add the shots to the competition," Prompto said, after a broad grin of appreciation for the way she thought settled in. "I'm definitely upping my concentration on the big cats now. Can you imagine if we, like, caught one while it was yawning or something? Boom. Forget about it. Contest over!"

“I know,” Liz laughed, “it almost makes me feel sorry for Rain and the other cats, I feel like they’re not going to stand a chance against some of these bigger cats with the photos we’ll be able to take out here,” she grinned.

Prompto opened his mouth as if to agree, but then, exaggerating a little to play it up a little, pulled back with a thoughtful squint of his eyes, brining a hand up stroke his chin. "I don't knooooow," he turned his dubious squint toward her. "It is Rain we're talking about here...."

Because apparently just doting on Liz wasn't enough, Prompto had to do it with the cat now, too.

Liz laughed, “that’s true,” her smile widened, “I hope she’ll like spending the week with her brothers and sisters,” she said, “it feels rather strange to be away from her for so long,”

Prompto gave Liz a soft, sympathetic smile at that, before it turned maybe a little teasing. "Man," he stated, "if you're already missing her by day one, I don't even want to know where you are at the end of the week! But I'm sure she's she's fine. It'll go one of two ways: either she absolutely loves it and we can't get her to want to leave or she'll hate it so much that we'll pretty much be riddled with guilt that we vow to never leave her again."

“Well I suppose at least we don’t have to worry about coming back to finding that our apartment’s been destroyed or that she was able to get downstairs to the store,” Liz said as she considered with a small smile, “I do know she’s in good hands though but I do hope she’ll want to come back with us at the end of the week, I know HB spoils her just as much as we do,” she grinned.

"I'll just have to make sure to spoil her even more!" Prompto promised with a laugh, and then he held up a hand as if in defence. "I know, I know, I know what you're thinking. 'But Prompto! There's no way you could spoil her more than you already do!' In which case, all I have go say is..."

As he talked, he got increasingly haughty until it all loosened up in his final reveal. "Challenge accepted!"

Liz laughed, “then I’m looking forward to seeing just how much more you can spoil Rain,” she grinned, “I know for sure that she’s definitely not going to be complaining about any of this,” she added. "I think either way she's the real winner out of this," she smiled.

"Yeah, exactly," Prompto agreed, and then, grinning back, he wondered if there was a way he could shift in how they were sitting to get in a little closer, maybe oh-so-casually drape an arm over her shoulder...

There wasn't, but he was still going to try and hope this weekend didn't just turn into a montage of him trying to make awkward seating and sleeping arangements slightly less so.
