Boston, MA [Wednesday Daytime]
Welcome to the halfway point of your vacation! But don't worry, the itinerary options were nowhere near exhausted. There was still plenty to do and see in Boston.
Also plenty of Netflix available in the hotel. You do you. The narrative wasn't judging yesterday and it wasn't about to start now.

Freedom Trail

Re: Freedom Trail
It was fine. She was learning a lot! But she did start wishing maybe she should have gone with whales instead...

"...oh, what's that you say? The cannons? Oh, well, believe you me, I can tell you about cannons, don't even get me started!"
But some of them had, unfortunately, gotten her started...and now the real trick, more than likely, was going to be getting her to stop.
Re: Freedom Trail
"Hey Amaya," he said walked over as soon as the current tourist turned and headed off. "How's it going?"
Re: Freedom Trail
But, with that complaint out of her system, she gave Dwight a nod. "You managing to enjoy yourself so far?"

Re: Freedom Trail
She offered him a grin.
"Maybe for a little bit. Who knows? Maybe thanks to that jacket, I might even be able to learn enough so that I'll not need it by the time we're finished!"
Re: Freedom Trail
"Well we are here to enjoy ourselves, so I think it's only fair you actually get to enjoy the tour," Dwight said with a grin as he handed his jacket over. "Though I have to say, if we ever start having tours of the island for visitors I think we have found our first tour guide."
Re: Freedom Trail
But still, for the sake of some peace and quiet, Amaya gratefully took the jacket with a nod and shrugged it on and was perfectly fine with ignoring the fact that she was practically swimming in it.
"I'm honestly surprised," she said, "we haven't had to fend off anyone with laser pointers and cats before, really. But I don't think it would even be the strangest thing to mention on a tour like that, not by a longshot."
Re: Freedom Trail
As they followed the tour guide to the next point of interest, he leaned over towards Amaya to whisper with a bit of a grin "Ya know, it's kinda bad when the tourists are getting annoyed by the other tourists."
Re: Freedom Trail
"I'm pretty sure," she half-whispered back, "annoying other tourists is part and parcel of being a tourist, isn't it? I think maybe some might be a little too good at that part of it, though!"

It did make for an excellent icebreaker to anyone who might point out that it seemed he not only got the century, but the entire country wrong on this one.

"Thought I had seen you when we arrived. Glad you were able to make it on the trip after all" he said with a grin. "What do you think of Boston so far?"
Re: Freedom Trail
She was mostly joking. Obviously a straight up Boston accent would be impossible to mimic, anyway.
Re: Freedom Trail
Re: Freedom Trail
God, but she missed London sometimes.
Re: Freedom Trail
Re: Freedom Trail
She didn't make it far at all before she was muffling a snort.

Re: Freedom Trail
Nerd.
Re: Freedom Trail
She decided she didn't actually care all that much and spent the tour regretting her shoe choice and mocking the 18th century costume in her head.
