Boston, MA [Wednesday Daytime]

Welcome to the halfway point of your vacation! But don't worry, the itinerary options were nowhere near exhausted. There was still plenty to do and see in Boston.

Also plenty of Netflix available in the hotel. You do you. The narrative wasn't judging yesterday and it wasn't about to start now.

Jo found it inevitable at this point that most of her walking tours around Boston would involve food, she certainly wasn’t complaining because the food was in fact delicious and she was learning a lot about the history of city and was finding it to be an educational experience. She didn’t think food could be so educational before and added in that she was doing a lot of walking, well no one at Malory Towers would believe that she was willingly taking part in walking tours and paying attention to history.

Gym - Early Morning

Alara was once again up and going to the gym to get her day started. She figured since she was here she may as well take advantage of having access to high quality training equipment and she was quite enjoying the routine of getting up early and heading to the gym to get in a workout before she started sightseeing.

Alara had enjoyed her visit to the Aquarium and decided that she wanted a chance to see more of Earth sea life so she decided to take part in the whale sightseeing cruise and was quite enthralled seeing all of these sea creatures out on the water.

This was definitely something more akin to Goose’s interest, learning about past military battles. Even though he had certainly never learnt about them from someone attired in 18th century attire. Still he listened with rapt attention as the guide explained the different sites and their significance to the American Revolution.

For Astrid, the whale watching for this trip would be a bonus, not a feature. She was just feeling glad to get out on a boat and into the water a little, and figured getting sea spray on the pages of the sketchbook in her lap would add some interesting elements to whatever wound up on those pages.

Sakaki didn't really know much about a lot of American history, but since it was clearly a big deal around here, she figured she should at least try to learn some of it.

It was fine. She was learning a lot! But she did start wishing maybe she should have gone with whales instead...

It definitely didn't take much to convince Troy to be on board with anything involving food, although he hoped this one involved more food than yesterday's supposed 'pizza tour,' which he still felt was significantly lacking in the pizza department! That had been way more tour than pizza!

Ignis had finally managed to allow himself to indulge in one of the food tours, after having spent the past couple of days appreciating the culinary scene of the city in a more individual fashion, and he was rather looking forward to not being in the least bit disappointed.

And you can bet that at least every stop included one moment of his fingers snapped in realization and the declaration that he'd come up with a new recipe.

Gladio had been reading up on this exact thing prior to the trip, so it was great to have the opportunity to see some of the things he'd been reading about first hand. It helped, too, that there was definitely something thematic about it that he could appreciate, as well.

"Ahhh, zards," grumbled Amaya, for probably the umpteenth time as some other random person on the tour came up to her and started asking her questions or wanting to take pictures, "for the last time, just like I told all the other people before you, I'm not a part of the tour, I'm a part of the tourists! I don't know hardly anything about--

"...oh, what's that you say? The cannons? Oh, well, believe you me, I can tell you about cannons, don't even get me started!"

But some of them had, unfortunately, gotten her started...and now the real trick, more than likely, was going to be getting her to stop.

Prompto was definitely stoked and ready to snag some great shots of whales and dolphins on this cruise, too, especially since they'd probably compliment the few he'd managed to snag here and there in the previous ones, too! But getting up there and close and personal was going to be a great opportunity for some killer pics, bro!

It never took long for Sidon to regret sort of going on these cruises, because the temptation to just slip on overboard and join in on the fun with the whales and dolphins was incredibly strong! And, in his youth, that was exactly what he'd done on these occasions, but now he was a teacher! He was a chaperone! He had to lead by a good example, and while he didn't really see many of the students being as inclined to tumble around with fellow marine creatures in quite the same way he would, he would be sure to stay put on the boat for now.

But he could make no guarantee about avoiding such excursions later in his free time!

It did help that he was incredibly fascinated by the guide and the treasure trove of information they seemed ready to impart, especially once they seemed to accept the fact that, yes, this was a giant shark person on this boat asking many enthusiastic questions about marine life off the coast.

While maybe being mildly concerned about how this was affecting the weight limit of said boat.

Was Rosa on this tour right now in an actual chaperoning capacity this time? Or did one of the cases she'd picked up to work on during her week in Boston involve working among the hidden seedy underbelly of the Bostonian culinary scene?

If you couldn't tell, why would she?

The radio squirrels hadn't truly been a surprise but they had come in very early and they'd somehow left a trail of glitter behind even though Stark hadn't seen any glitter while they were in the room.

At least they were gone now and maybe he could just go back to bed for a while. If he didn't get thrown out of the bed on suspicion of being in league with squirrels.

There was always a certain quaintness to these historical tours for Shunsui, especially the ones with the cosplayers, that he and his very out-of-place robes had to appreciate, as if he himself had wandered off the path of some very different, completely unrelated, and very unlikely considering the context tour somewhere else.

It did make for an excellent icebreaker to anyone who might point out that it seemed he not only got the century, but the entire country wrong on this one.
