Otherwise, well. TGIF didn't mean a lot when you were stuck in a hole without much by way of a sense of time.

Hannibal came out to listen, then thinned his lips. "And find something to eat it with? The silverware is still missing!"

Hannibal was probably not a secret spork lover, but Steve was trying to make the best of things.

Hannibal was not a spork lover, no.

He did, however, still have most of his spices, a lot of his booze, some frozen things that hadn't been designed to be cooked over a campfire, and a lot of shelf-stable staples.

He was ignoring that plastic cheese.

"Parmesan pepper phyllo chips," he presented to Steve, "with a pink pepper negroni, substituting orange liquor for the orange, for obvious reasons."

Good thing you couldn't get drunk, Steve; this thing would make a good try of it.

He'd just had a rum dunked Twinkie, so this was a major directional shift. "This looks really good," he said, blinking. "You've had phyllo around?"

Hannibal shrugged. "No nutritional value to speak of, it freezes well, there's not enough for a group this large, and it's difficult to cook over a campfire, so it's been sitting there, yes. I have a lot of things left, so long as they're not meat, vegetables, or perishable."

"So fancy stuff," Steve guessed. "Tony's got 15 kinds of vinegar. We're not sure how it happened."

Hannibal smiled. "Like that, yes. Many types of vinegar, a number of different oils, a cabinet of spices." And some meat he wasn't going to share, for...reasons. "But my fruit, vegetables, and bread are gone. I'll definitely be laying in more canned foods in future. And investigating a gas backup for the stove."
