Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine Feet Below Fandom, Friday
Happy Friday everybody!
You're still in a hole.
But again, at least it was a hole with a bowling alley! And an ice cream shop! And a fire station, a mansion, a music store, several warehouses and oh hey, also a whole bunch of cannons now!
At least the pirates had brought along some rum?
[ocd coming!]

New arrivals
Re: New arrivals
The third ship that fell was the smallest, though it honestly might have been the most obvious arrival, since it came with a sound cue.
Faye shrieked the entire way down, her scream only halting when she landed. It took a second before she was scrambling to her feet, her handgun immediately drawn as she climbed up on top of the Red Tail to take a position, bitching breathlessly (it had been a lot of screaming) all the while.
"Where the hell am I? Where are we? What is this?" And then, with a note of genuine panic, "Shit, I lost the baby."
She would lower her gun in a second, probably. She needed to recognize a face or two (even just a half a face, or maybe a friendly helmet) first.
[ships that aren't mine are modded with permission, of course!]
Re: New arrivals
So naturally there was going to be an alien (with that familiar half a face) approaching the new arrival. Quickly, and then much slower when he saw the gun.
"Are you hurt?"
Re: New arrivals
Faye was just this side of hysterical, so it took her a second before she caught herself, realized who had asked that question, and then she was holstering her pistol again so she could try to climb down and run over to him.
She was moving awfully quick for someone who didn't actually believe in feelings, even if there was totally going to be a lot more yelling involved in this, probably.

Of course it was, Din. No one else would drive that space junk.

Which hopefully meant someone would find him soon, like Faye had.

She wasn't thrilled about the gun but Rey had priorities.

Though maybe it would have been better if he'd come in, since they'd at least know where he was, now.

Life in the hole
Re: Life in the hole- By the campfire
She ended up having a conversation.
So there was that, when she opened her eyes.
Re: Life in the hole- By the campfire
"Meditation, huh?"
Re: Life in the hole- By the campfire
And hey, she'd just learned she could do a thing that didn't involve a mental bond with a stalker!

Re: Life in the hole - Pirate huddle not far from the campfire
moddable, NPCpirates to track down as much of the rum as they could and the cannons and something to make a fire with.Did they really need to circle their own campfire with cannons? Probably not. But again: still annoyed.
Unlike his pirates, who were drinking rum and singing quite loudly.
Re: Life in the hole - Pirate huddle not far from the campfire
It was not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
Re: Life in the hole - Pirate huddle not far from the campfire
"'E needs a hat!"
"A hat for the weird bugger!"
Enjoy your tricorne for now, Beaker.

And avoiding the pirates because he had enough of that before he arrived on this island, thank you.

"I talked to Master Skywalker." She was pretty happy about that for a couple reasons!

So he was just going to sit by the fire and hope Steve wasn't losing his mind. Or planting bombs to attack the holes.
Same difference.
Re: Life in the hole- near the bowling alley
His loop had ended with him outside the bowling alley. So, perhaps against his better judgement, he had gone inside and found a couple bottles of that cheap, but not really all that bad, beer. He was now sitting down outside the bowling alley, already mostly done with the first bottle.
Yeah... this little stay-cation in the hole was starting to get really old.
Re: Life in the hole - in front of Groovy Tunes.
"Underground," Troy added in an almost sultry whisper, with a proud, crooked grin on his face, as he winked to a camera that wasn't there and took a sip from his mug that definitely did not have anything in it.
Sure, there were no cameras. There was no radio equipment. They didn't even have any squirrel notes, but the show must go on.
"That's right, everyone," said Astrid, to literally no one in particular unless anyone decided to wander over and listen (or boggle!) at the fact that she was playing along with this, but honestly, what else were they going to do? If Troy wanted to pretend broadcast, who was she to judge? "Welcome to a very specail broadcast of Troy and Astrid in the Morning, coming to you live, from the cavern at the bottom of a hole presumably under the island, now in front of a live studio audience."
She paused as if to allow said audience, whether it was there or not, to cheer and make themselves known, and Troy continued.
"Of course, down here, we don't have any squirrels following everyone around to share with us all what you all have been up to," he admitted, "but if I was going to go out on on a limb, I'm going to assume our Thursday here underground," yes, it had to be said in that whisper, "went something like this: people were bored, the generators are loud, Alexis was hot, and Hannibal and Ignis were very fancy."
"A bunch of cannon balls and pirates fell from the l...well, not sky, but roof?," Astrid reported, "as one can expect in these trying times, someone was trying to learn guitar, and someone gave Beaker a lighter."
"Terrifying!" Troy editorialized with gleeful horror.
"And I'm sure a lot of other things happened, too," Astrid continued, "like people talking to each other and maybe strategizing or the occasional pep talk, but without the squirrels, we're kind of limited to what we just kind of noticed ourselves."
"I miss the squirrels," Troy said sadly.
"I know," Astrid gave her cohost a small, sympathetic pat on the shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll be back to hating on rum-soaked rodents soon enough, Troy."
"One can only hope," he said, switching back effortlessly into his newcaster grin. "And, in the meantime, it's time for a special segment brought to you only from the underground," whispered dramatically, of course, "and that's a unique opportunity to interview some of our other fellow Hole-ites this...morning? Afternoon? Midnight? I have no idea what time is anymore! But come on up here, fellow Hole-ian, tell us a little about yourself!"
So the opportunity was there, if anyone wanted, to be interviewed by two teenagers for a show that didn't exist and wasn't even being recorded, if anyone wanted to take them up on it, but don't think they wouldn't just continue to interview empty air if no one did.

He leaned over to whisper something to Astrid, who just shrugged and shook her head.
"Travis....Fire..guy...person...Travis Fireguyperson...is here in the studio as we speak! Maybe if we're lucky, he'll grant us an ~exclusive~ interview!"
"Oooooh," Astrid enthused, for empasis.
"Travis! Travis! Come say hello to the viewers at home," who were being treated with another wink, and a lift of Troy's mug, "and give us a few words!"
Re: Life in the hole - Hannibal's house
Joni and the flamingo were grooming each other on the hearth rug. At least they were staying off the furniture.
The door was open in case the people
handwavilystaying here needed to get in and out.OOC
