Limni Keri, Zakynthos, Monday Evening

The village of Limni Keri laid a little whiles out from the Portalocity terminal at Zakynthos's capital of Zante, but it was a pleasant trip full of beach views, tall hills and olive trees. The village itself was small, its various shops, homes and restaurants spread out across a square mile and a half, ending on a quiet beach.

The shuttle took them to a pretty yellow apartment complex. It held no restaurant, but the owners had left a spread of Greek mezedes behind for the arriving guests. Of course, if you were truly hungry, you could always take a stroll along the beach and pick one of the adorable Greek tavernas that lined the coast.

Come in, settle in. Enjoy the warm temperatures of Greece, and the sound of the surf.

"Yes, he's mine. He can have treats," Rufus said, and his (faint) smile was... entirely for Dark Nation, but Prompto didn't need to know that.

"He eats meat, primarily, so if you ever have leftovers he'll adore that."

"I'm gonna make you so fat!" Prompto vowed to Dark Nation, giving him one real good last belly rub with both hands before, laughing, he shifted on the bed, folding his legs in front of him as he turned to face his new temporary roommate. He rocked back a little before leaning forward, resting his hands on his boots.

"And what's your name?" he asked. "I don't think we've actually met before, have we? I'm Prompto."

Yes, Prompto, that had been established already, but good job making sure it was out there.

"Rufus Shinra," he said, watching as his dog just blissed out on Prompto's bed. "Pleasure to meet you."

Not entirely a lie, so far. Rufus was moderately inclined to be pleasant to those who liked his dog.

"You're one of the newer students, correct?"

"Yeah," Prompto grinned easily at the answer, "just started this fall, and, man, it has been a trip. It's definitely not, like, anything," his hand left his ankle for a moment to cut through the air, "I could have ever expected. It's wild. I keep feeling I gotta pinch myself or something, because, like, it's gotta be some kind of dream or something, right? How long have you been going here?"

"I've been here a few years," Rufus said, which he was still planning to make his father pay for, at some point. Though there were upsides to it as well... namely that Tseng's life was so much harder with Rufus out of his immediate reaches.

"There's ups and downs to this place, much like anywhere else."

"I..." Prompto trailed off to really consider what he said next before laughing as he came up with nothing to immediately contradict himself with, "really haven't seen, like, any downs, bro. Seriously. My, like, one complaint is that it's just so far from home, but even that's just...whatever, you know? I've spent sixteen years in that place; it's about time I got out there anyway!"

A nicer person would give Prompto a heads up about invasions and alternate realities and soul crushing despair that the island liked to fling at people.

Rufus didn't bother.

"Perhaps there are no downs for you then," he said easily. "In which case you're lucky. Are you here primarily to expand your horizons?"
